I am sitting here, in a big black leather chair, with a peacock blue (darker hue) silk pillow behind me for support. Oh yes, and mustn't forget the varied leopardesque print cotton clad other pillow.
Here I am, typing on the black Dell Keyboard and watching the letters cross the screen of a monitor that my Dad bought in 1995, I think. Could have been 1997, though or anywhere in between. Anyway, you look at it, my E-Machine is OLD!
It's still lasted longer than the Dell, the Hewlitt Packards, the other E-Machines for that matter, and some other computers I know longer remember the name of. It's still going too, though it has never had anything done to it but some clean up and adding of memory.
People tell me that E-Machines are utter crap, all the time it seems, yet this one is 10-12 years old and is still fast enough for the "more sped up" internet that it allegedly couldn't keep handling, it has lived through journeying from Alaska, it has lived through the sticky dust of Arizona and the light floaty dust of Alaska, cat peeing festivals, hair balls from the same cats, being knocked, over, spilled on, and taken apart.
I have sprayed it down with rubbing alcohol and vacuumed it with a Shop Vac and rubbed various dusty bits of it with wet paper towels as there was no other way to clean it, and I have taken apart the box at the back with the fan, the one that says NEVER TAKE THIS APART or some such. Yes, well, you know I had to!
It was jammed with dust and cat fur, so I cleaned it, it was put back together, and life, for my little E-Machine keeps on going on.
