Some get it. Many don't. While it is a large part of my nature to want to be helpful, in the end it really doesn't matter to me if someone chooses to ignore what I share. I do not write for attention as do most here; my goal is not one of mundane popularity, or to be noticed because I am outrageous or extreme. I write as catharsis, I write to perhaps teach by sharing, and I write to connect with like minds. Sure, there are a few who seem think everything I write of late is directed to or about them but to me, that's just another clue that they are the type who allow their egos to run their lives. As with most things, "if the shoe fits, wear it" but again, as I've said many times, nasty and spiteful reactions to the thoughts and opinions of others only show those who have half a brain that the person writing such comments is not only a few sandwiches short of a picnic, but they also forgot the chips.

As a norm I choose to stay out of nastiness on here but on this I will say something. I read the blogs mostly to learn. (you said you write to perhapsto teach by sharing) . Learn what some may say? Well about myself. I truly believe that how we think and react about the written word gives us time to digest ourselves. I've read a bit of what got this going (I think) and I don't agree with a lot but so what. I thank you Sci for the majority of your blogs in that I think and I learn reading them. I also want to say this for those who are saying IQ stuff, WTF? Haven't we all said the half a brain quote? I don't take it quite so literal myself. Sure we all are stupid about shit some days more than others. I guess I'm one of those that think I understand what your saying. Now I've probably not made my point well as I'd like for those who read it but honestly I think many have much to give here. There are people on here that I myself think are stupid but I even learn through them sometimes. I wish we could all try to find the good instead of only the negative,JMHO.

A strong message... always worthy of repetition...

Look with-in, look with-in, look with-in!

Moments I find myself reacting to someones negativity or nastiness I have to remind myself that although it may appear to be directed at me, it never really is about me.

That being said there was definitly brutal ugliness and insanity apparent regarding said blog. Almost frightening.

I guess we are all just at differing points on out own personal journeys... We will make our own personal choices regarging choice between static or movement.

Blog on...

I think it's an excellent blog, very well said. Please keep stating the obvious Sci, I like the way you do it. Don't let the half-brains get to you, they only make themselves look more foolish every time they post those ridiculous comments.

I write as catharsis, I write to perhaps teach by sharing, and I write to connect with like minds.

One of things that strikes me most about your postings is that quality of introspection that is always present. I think I understand just what you mean by the above statement - for I write for similar reasons... and the person who is taught most by what I write is ME. The writing is a way of articulating miscellaneous collected thoughts into a more orderly and reasoned opinion - or - simply put: why I feel the way I do... If someone connects to what I am writing, so much the better and how wonderful and interesting to think someone is willing to share this process and be vulnerable enough to say so. This does not mean I am never going to react to another's statements in a knee jerk or emotional or even egotistical and pious way from time to time. I am human and I err. (As you might say: Sue me.)

It's easy to read into others' writings our own prejudices and preconceived notions. Many will see what they want to see - a kind of tunnel vision as if they wear blinders.

And if one goes about with a big chip on one's shoulder, one is bound to lean heavily to one side, be stuck moving in circles and to occasionally fall flat on one's ass.

Great food for thought, as usual.

They will deliberately misunderstand the point of this blog, choosing instead to see themselves reflected in my words so that they may go ballistic in a tailspin that is the ignorance of self-righteous indignation, resorting to calling me crude names in a vain attempt to soothe their savage egos.

It's those big words you use honey, multi-syllable and all....

This has been great fun....and telling.

Silly Sci..... I knew, you knew that what you were saying was exactly the same tendency you were pointing out in others...this is how well I've come to know you and feel your presence in everything you write.

I read a lot of 'self' books, ones that analyze every aspect of being human. I learn something new and rewarding from everything I read. Your introspective writing is top notch book material. I often read them more than once...as I did this blog.

Very nice.
