I get very unhappy with people in supermarkets who stop their carts in the middle of the aisle and just stand there looking at the soup. They don't know what want, so they're looking. Parked. Middle of the aisle. They're trying to decide. Why would you go to the supermarket if you didn't know what you wanted? You know how I shop? I enter the store with a list in my hand, and I move quickly through the aisles from item to item, and I'm in the parking lot before Einstein has figured out if the cream of mushroom is a better bargain than the chicken with stars. I say, know what you want, get what you need, and get the phucque out of there. That's how ya shop!

figuring that the things i want will still be in the same aisle when it's empty, i avoid the aisles with more than one cart, or with a cart standing in the middle. plus the handheld baskets are much easier to manuever with.

I have no problem with the "shoppers"...when I was trying to move on past my husband's death, shopping at Wally World was my way of not being a hermit.
That said....I HATE WHEN THEY BLOCK THE AISLE....totally oblivious to everyone around them. It's not just the shoppers in the stores, it's the people on the road as well. Oblivious, TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS to their surroundings!

Having some tolerance when others are doing things that cause us to pause in our shopping is worth some cultivating.
When that happens to me, I simply ask them politely if they would mind moving their cart and I never get a bad response. Sometimes this is the only "social" time people have so they don't want to be in a hurry to get it done. A little patience and kindness will make you much happier.

Now, I have no problem with them taking all day and not knowing what they want, just don't keep thier shopping cart in the middle , while trying to make up thier minds.

...It's not just the shoppers in the stores, it's the people on the road as well... So true. Depending on my schedule, I usually pull my cart to the point where it's obvious they're blocking me and wait. I'll count to five (silently) before making any decision. If they back step (onto me) I usually say "It's a good thing you're not in your car." Typically, they're apologetic... they don't realize they were in the 'Twilight Zone'.
I do recall telling someone (as I pointed to the shelves) "Get THAT ONE... the store will be closing soon"

1. There is such a thing called 'Recreational Shoppers'. The shop...They buy...Some merely buy so they can return the item at a later date....Just so they can have something to do...
2. When the aisle is blocked... I ask the person, "May I use YOUR aisle"?

I think EVERYONE should follow your well thought out example! I guess you could always bring a taser with you, that would make them move quickly also I think.
