I'm writing today, because I havent' blogged lately. I've been pretty busy, and have been emotionally and phyically drained at night, only to toss and turn all night long, leaving me more tired in the mornings. I've been working on Jaosn's Memorial Scholarship for 8th grade graduation this year. I've been trying to come up with a slideshow, while his favorite song "Photogragh" by Nickelback is playing. We've already picked the child who will recieve his $50 cash scholarship. Him and Jason used to be good friends, went fishing together, was at my house quite a few times, they rode bikes together, Jason was at his house, riding go-karts with him. They got into trouble a few times at school together., and was sent to the office, and got sent home. I couldn't decide from the 4 names the principal had given me. It was a tough choice to make, knowing all 4 of the kids. I had to ask Jason for a sign. He gave it to me, where he used to fish at. I spent 5 days in Tennessee the end of the month. My sis was med-linked to the nearest hospital, she'd quit breathing 2 times. That was a pretty emotional and scarey time for me. Me and my 2nd to the oldest daughter flew down there. My 1st time flying. It was quite the experience. I do have to say, I'd like to fly again. My sis is doing better, she got out of the hospital the Monday morning that we flew home. She's called me a few times since I've been home. I guess from what she tells me, her and her husband want to move to WI in the fall. They will be selling their properties in TN and coming home. That's exciting for me, since she's been in TN since 1990. I had my grandson, Jadyn last week after I returned home. My daughters knee was flaring up from the flight, and ride back and forth from the hospital to Nashville. It was over 250 miles round trip. She'd made 3 trips to the hospital, I stayed overnight there on the Thrusday that week. I had a wonderful time with my grandson that week. His Mommy would come over here in the evening when her b/f was working. They went to Chicago this week to spend the week with her b/f's Mom. She just bought a place on the lake down there. They will be home tomrrrow sometime. I miss the baby. Today is his 8 month birthday, and I talked to him for a few minutes on the phone this morning. He babbled, and coo'ed. It was the highlight of my week!! I've had alot of my adopted kids over in the past week and 1/2. It's a good thing though, because with Mother's Day coming this weekend, it's hard to concentrate on anything but the loss of Jason. At least the kids keep my mind off of things for a little bit. I got 3 cards in the mail today from my daughter in TN. She'll be home for 8th grade graduation. I'm so excited for her to be coming home for a while. She got engaged since I was down there 2 weeks ago. Her fiance is the sweetest young man any Mom could want as a son-in-law. He sent me a Mother's Day card too. It was signed, "I'll be your son forever, I'll always love you Mama, Lee" , I cried like a baby when I read the card. I guess it was because I'll never get a card from Jason ever again. No one can take Jason's place, and my kids all know that, but the words of that card just touched me so much. Matt seems to be doing better, since all the "other kids" have been here this past week, and w/e. Carah is a different story. She's fallen behind in her schooling, and is having a hard time catching up. She's missed quite a bit of school in the last couple months. She went to the dr yest, and her dr had her take a depression test, it was 9 questions and she determined from that that Carah is depressed quite a lot. She prescribed an anti-depressant for her. I'm hesitant to go pick it up, but I SURELY DON'T want Carah to be depressed. She had prom this last w/e, and she looked so GORGEOUS. The kids from her old school were s'prised to see her at "theri prom" since we had prom here that night too. This weekend is going to be hard for me, and I pray I can make it through it. I pray the kids can make it through too!!
