OMG... OMG... I just had to buy the Lipton White Tea with Raspberry today.. it is sooo dayuuuuummm good... it is like a symphony of temptingly tantilizing tea leaves mixed into a liquid ambrosia melded with the smooth, sweet and sexy taste of raspberry are dancing with your tongue and playing slide down the fireman's pole into your throat... K.. having read that back to myself.. me thinks I have been the victim of such denial .. that anything that brings some feeling of giddiness and sexiness to me gives me the goosebumps (not really, but it will do in the absence of the real thing) I am hoping to find in this madness called "welcome to my life". I am so actually in a frikken fantabulous fckn frittatta funk of fun and frivolity that I can't stand myself.. (I know, I know.. all you with your hands raised and saying "amen"... go stand in the corner .. you have received an official time out from me.. the blogger in charge here in my corner of MDland.) I got a call this morning from TAZ (my daughter - another blog previously about why I nicked her that name) asking moi, her mom, her "mother", her mudda, to go to lunch with her and her significant other. Now, to those unaware and those that just don't give a royal chit.. she is 2 hours away from me and involved with a man who has an 8 year old who is into alot of kids things and my daughter works full time, is finishing her Masters and carts the youngen around, so I rarely get any time with her and this has put me over the line of being "acceptable" with my frikken ray of sunshiney-ness...(again, shutey.. I know it ain't a word... bite me!!!) Seeing on how many of ya are in need of your own time out and those that are stressed out, I came up with an idea for reducing the stress in your life.. and for those that could give a rat's azzzz about me or my silly crap.. please exit by the right and close the door behind you... thank you! You know that old saying, "Forgive and forget?" Well, I think we all know that sometimes that is easier said than done. But now there's more reason than ever to make an effort to clear any resentments or grudges that we may still harbor over someone else's past actions or old events. It turns out that according to recent research, such emotions as resentment, bitterness, anger, and fear all have physical consequences, like increased blood pressure and hormonal changes. And when these emotions are not resolved, it can lead to a state of chronic stress, leaving the door open to other illnesses. As they say, "Do you want to be bitter or better?" One good place to start is to try this simple exercise. Sit down with a pen and paper and write down all the things that you consider you have done wrong. Read through the list and then say, "I did the best I could with what I knew at that time. I now forgive myself and set myself free." Then burn or shred the list. Now do the same for any other people who may have hurt you. Something that I draw inspiration from is something that you might find helpful too. It's called "Discourse on Loving Kindness" and is attributed to Buddha:
Let your love flow outward through the universe, To its height, its depth, its broad extent, a limitless love, without hatred or enmity. Then as you stand or walk, sit or lie down, as long as you are awake, Strive for this with a one-pointed mind; your life will bring heaven to earth. And here's another secret for living a healthier, stress-free life... actually, it's something you're doing right now – reading! Reading for enjoyment is a quick "escape" from worries or the day-to-day round. How else can you travel the world without leaving your armchair, meet fascinating people, visit the past, and make whole other worlds come alive? But reading doesn't only stretch your imagination -- once you settle into a good book, you actually become more physically relaxed. You're drawn into another world, and your breathing regulates and slows. It can act like a mental "circuit breaker," literally giving your mind a rest. I know that, for myself, I like to curl up with a good book as a way of unwinding at the end of a busy day. Even the phrase "curling up with a good book" suggests a cozy, relaxing feeling! Now doing it next to a sexy man is sooooo much better, but for the time being.. ah, yes.. dreams!! I urge you.. all bitter, angry people and those that are targets of same.. try one of the above, or do something to make your own heart happy... cept of course the following men or those resembling same are off limits to you.. they are mine, all mine... Sam Elliott, Alan Jackson, Adrienne Paul.. there are others, but I will start with those three - Oh, baby, Oh, Baby, oh, Baby....*this ole mom,. redhead.. awesome green eyed lady is outta here.. singing.. "life is a highway, I wanna ride it all night long"*
Life's like a road that you travel on -- When there's one day here and the next day gone -- sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand - sometimes you turn your back to the wind --There's a world outside every darkened door where blues won't haunt you anymore-- Where the brave are free and lovers soar -- Come ride with me to the distant shore --We won't hesitate, break down the garden gate--There's not much time left today Chorus: Life is a highway -- I want to ride it all night long -- If you're going my way -- I want to drive it all night long
Through all these cities and all these towns It's in my blood and it's all around I love you know like I loved you then This is the road and these are the hands From Mozambique to those Memphis nights The Khyber Pass to Vancouver's lights Knock me down get back up again You're in my blood I'm not a lonely man
There's no load I can't hold Road so rough, this I know I'll be there when the light comes in Tell 'em we're survivors
(chorus x2)
There was a distance between you and I A misunderstanding once but now We look it in the eye
There's no load I can't hold Road so rough this I know I'll be there wehn the light comes in Tell 'em we're survivors
(chorus x3)
