Ok I dont get this so perhaps someone can explain this to me.... When I send a message to a woman about 90% are read and left at that.... Seldom do I get a response, as a matter of fact I will probably get more responses to this blog than I get to any email.... Yeah it could be my local area but then again I dont think its that.... I have read that women find it easier to not respond to a man than to say "your not my type" or simply "your not for me" Sorry is not needed here because you have nothing to be sorry for.... I have yet to have someone take the time to send me an email and me not respond to them at least to say thank you for noticing me... Yeah some guys are creeps and by responding you could be opening a door to who knows what, but then again by not responding your closing the door on so much more.... Its a risk, and many women base this risk on (WHO KNOWS).... Do I look like Im going to stalk you to your doorstep? Yeah I know you cant judge a stalker based on appearance... Seriously though after some time of just not being responded to it makes guys lose interest and somewhat be more tight about opening up... This behavior is only encouraged when you dont respond to a guy and to some might be beyond rejection.... Just think if you met the guy/gal of your dreams (only they dont know it yet) and you send them an email hoping they at least say something and they read it but then nothing else happens, and then it happens repeatedly, this feeling might not be the greatest....

My Message:
Be aware of what message your sending, think about what the state of mind the sender is in (I know hard to do but come on be a little more curtious here) and be respectful at all times and most importantly BE HONEST dont lead on or be dismissive blunt and to the point if you dont want to talk to them and if you do, well you know.... Best wishes to all and keep smilin

Yes Steve O I agree it can be frustrating

Thanks but not interested and good luck in your search is not that all that hard to type out

Courtesy, honesty and a little bit of kindness
Is that so much to ask??

This happens to women as well. Almost all of the emails I've written have been opened without a reply back. A couple of times the person has cancelled their account soon after. In my lower moments, I do feel like giving up, or wonder what is wrong with me.

I know that's life, but it does bother me, because it doesn't take but a minute to say, "thank you". I think many people believe that just by replying, they are opening a door, implying interest.

That's the nature of online communication. Try not to let it get you down,
just move on and cast your net again. Also take it as a sign that that person
just wasn't for you.

Dear Steve:

Go look at your mailbox....I sent you an Email. I felt so sad for ya .
And, while I'm at it, I took a peek at your profile, because I was impressed with your writing. And you can be proud of that, too.!

Don't get excited, sweetie, I'm old enough to be your Grandmother. BUT, I'm also a writer.!

Keep going, you're on the right track.

Sincerely, Knittin Kitten

Yeah it's not necessarily anything personal at all; often people don't take these online things even very seriously. If you do want some response initiate more than one hello changing the things you say each time- sometimes it takes a little persistence before a girl "gives in".

a lot of times when you see that happen, those peope aren't "real" and they've been busted for posting a fake pofile and spamming.

I always respond to emails, just as a courtesy. Even though a lot of the mail i get is from young men who are young enough to be my grandchildren. Good Luck Steve

Of course there is an exception to every rule. If the email is appropiate in content, I make every effort to respond. Then there are emails that appear to be from scammers that get the delete button immediately. Add the inappropiate emails that also get the deleted.
It can be frustrating but do what you think is best. I checked your profile and it appears sincere. Just be patient and keep trying. If love came easy we wouldn't appreciate it as much when we finally found it.
