His name is Bacon,
you would have to see him to understand,
he’s kind of a brindle color,
if that is a color
and he liked the name so we kept it
he’s never told me his Christian name
I think he wants to leave his past behind
I say I rescued Bacon
He says he rescued me
We go back and forth on it
He is my Zen master
He is the most grateful creature
He is happy to be alive
Happy to have a home
Loves to go anywhere (it’s the company that counts)
When I come in happy
He wiggles all over
When I come in sad
He looks at me and his eyes show he understands
He is free with his hugs and smooches
But not too free
He is the best, and he brings out the better in me.
If you have a pet give he/she a hug
If you don’t have one go check out an adoption
You might even find they save your Bacon

I do miss having a dog but I am not allowed where I currently live. I do go often to visit with my niece and nephew dogs though and it is a wonderful exchange of love every time.

That was great. . .and so true! Wouldn't it be terrific to find a person with all of those wonderful traits. It would be ideal but just about impossible to find. If it were not for my pets, I would have probably gone crazy by now. They really take the edge off.

Magic, Katie and Starr Star keep me going, if it wasnt for them some days I wouldnt get out of bed. They give me something to look forward to on my bad days and expecaily Magic will never leave my side....he sure hasn't since the day he was born.

My pooch Benny is my salvation, far more than I am his. He is my constant companion, my confidant, my fellow adventurer. He is my best friend and at times my only friend.

I do not have any pets at the moment..yet within the last 3 years have had to say goodbye to 2. "Little Hope" my pom/chi mix lived to be 18 and was my constant! "Corny, my lab was nearly 15 and she was my blessing. Both had wonderful lives and brought me so very much love and happiness!

 Really enjoyed and identified with your blog. Wish you and Bacon many happy years together. Miss my dog Pandy who went to heaven four years ago. Because of work schedule and commute, it is better I now have only my cat, BC. By the way, BC stands for Beautiful Cat. She really is quite wonderful and also teaches me many lessons.
