It'll be interesting to see how the new design influences the atmosphere of this site.
As a blogger I balked when I hit my refresh button, but I think it might solve some of the blog problems we've had: every feature gets equal billing, which may--in turn--dilute the venom and attention-hounds.

The first thing I noticed that Idid not like that that I used to be able to hold my mouse pointer over the Mail button and a small menue would drop down and allow me to go right to either outbox or inbox. Now I have to take more steps to go to my outbox.

I don't think it really added much to the experience...

There is nothing about this new design that I like.
However, I do realize that MD has often complained about the problem of getting folks to see that there are more than one blog category. This new design sure makes the different blog categories easy to find... but at the expense of those of us who have no interest in blogging.

I always try to be accepting of change, but at first look, I really do not care for the new site design......It's just overall messy looking to me.
Hopefully those of us who aren't fond of it will get to like it more over time.

I will never understand why so many people whine when somethign changes.
For those that think its horrid, come on.... isnt that a tad of an embellishment?
It's basically a free site, free chat, free email.... and its just fine.
The site has the right for one to make any changes they want but I also think they are kind and generous enough to make improvements for us. Who are we to complain?

I keep telling my Self that sometimes change is good. And the changes to the front page info does seem like a good idea.
But I cannot stand the colors. The blue main background is just...icky. Too light.
And I hate to say this, but the tabs along the top look kinda cheap....

We will be adding the ability for you to customize your home page in the future. Re-ordering the boxes, removing ones you don't want, etc.
The site is wider than the previous format, but we needed the extra space to work with. This is just the first revision, so we're not utilizing the new design to the fullest.
We wanted to "categorize" all the features of the site into their own separate sections. And those sections are the tabs at the very top of the site. We were having way too many options in the header and it was only going to get more messy. This way all things blog related fall under the main blog site tab, videos the videos tab, etc.

it's not bad and change is good but since three is so much activity with blogs, I would suggest that on the blog page you condence it so you see a lot more of the blogs on a single page rather than the enlarged paragraph you currently have. It makes it nice to scan them quickly without having to page down through the whole mess. Other than that, it's not bad. Index page is a little "busy" with so much stuff there, but not bad.........

I like the new site design. It looks great! The different colors around each category are pleasing to the eye and make the categories more easily distinguishable from one another. And it's nice how most everything is just one click away.
Only thing I might suggest, however, is showing the last ten blogs on the home page (as opposed to just the last five). If it takes up a little more room on the home page, then I don't mind scrolling down to see some of the other stuff. 
As always, you're doing a great job and we all really appreciate it! You guys rock!

This is a "not so much."
The opening page reminds me too much of rush hour on the beltway...too busy and no place to safely pull over.
I don't use the site for much, though...so maybe things are better once you take the exit ramp onto a side street.

Ok, I kinda like that things are bigger (much easier to read) however, my eyes feel like they are going to bug out because it's so dang BUSY!  UGH! If this is what I have to look at to make things bigger, Id rather go back to the old set up. With IE7 I have a zoom button LOL, I can make the print bigger!

I do not like it at all. Everything is so spread out -- maybe it's my monitor but now can't see everything on my screen without moving the bar back and forth. It took me a while to even find the "Post a comment" button.
Also now it does not give user views - just profile views. Now you cannot tell when the same people have gone back more than once to look at it (even if you do not who they are since I am a "free member"). I found that interesting.

So instead of telling you how much I dislike the new design, I will say this:

What browser are you using? We did not make them flush with the top of the site and they are fairly large in our opinion ;)

Something new, if someone views your profile the "viewed me" link in the menu will turn red. If you view the page (even if you're free) this resets it back to normal. if a new person views your profile it will turn red again. Now you can tell if people are viewing your profile without having to go to the home page. And that page also has the count of people who have viewed your profile.
How do we tell if we have mail??
"mail" will turn red in the menu when you have new mail. the same goes for winks, friend request, and viewed me.
Also, on your home page under your profile picture and above the bulletin board there will be messages alerting you to new mail, friend requests, and more.

I agree the resolution is too big for those of us who have smaller screens.... I hate having to scroll back and forth.
The home page looks VERY busy now.... TOO much stuff on it and a lot of it is not something I want to see. Maybe once we are able to personalize it, it will be better.
And all the other things everyone else said...
I really don't care for it much as it is right now. But hey.... thanks for the winks!

there are a few of us chat room users that could not access the chat room for 2-3 days it says we can not be verified we got no explaiation why we could not get in no email or anything ..... why is this happening. i got a trouble ticket but still no reason why. i come here to chat. so do the others that can't gain access anymore.and if i was banned for a particular reason why was i not warned by the mod of chat or even sent an email?

That was how I filtered what I wanted to read. I also think the color scheme is a bit too dramatic. I think the color scheme could be tone down a bit.

Just want to thank everyone for their feedback. We're taking all of it into consideration and will be making a round of revisions.
We realize that this is a big change and one of the main difficulties is learning where everything is. Our goal was to have a very simple and clean design to the site. Categorizing the different sections, rather than having a million options in the header. We've increased the page width a bit to give us some more room to work with content on the page. Some of you are running lower screen resolutions, which may cause you to scroll. We will look into a solution for you guys, but in the mean time you could increase the resolution of your screen to the next level (if that is an option for you).
Again, thanks for not chopping our heads off right away you can do that later.

Any idea how long it might be before we can customize our homepage to our liking. That would quiet everyone down for one. And yes, that means especially me. Personally, i am more interested in reading friends blogs, and not just seeing the few that are there now, without having to click onto another page. First my fridge blows up, then i come home to find my favorite web site turned upside down. This is just not a good day.

The setup seems rather confusing at te moment, however, I'm sure that as a "work in progress" that it will eventually be quickly adapted to
I'm sure also that there will be a "fair amount" of whining about the change of format and layout...what else is the human animal as "expert" at, than "whining"?...at least, for a little while, we shall maybe be "spared" their "normal" complaints, as they swarm around this...and tear it apart, rather than each other...yathink??

I am going to add my two cents worth. When I first opened up MatchDoctor I said What!!!. then sat there and started to read everything. First glance I wasn't too sure if I liked it but the more I look the more I like it. The colours are very pleasing to the eye, at least mine and thats what counts with me if I can read things.Before was ok but this I really like, it will just take people time to get use to change.Change is just as good as going on a vacation and since this is vacation time, happy vacation time everyone.

I like the fact that the Matchdoctor logo isn't so visible (sometimes you don't want everyone knowing what you're doing from far away). However, the rest of it looks amateur with the boxy tabs and rearranging everything was unnecessary.

resolution monitor...! another 5" in width should do it...then all will be perfect....

I don't know... Everyone seems to think the site's home page looks to busy. Personally, I don't mind that. I prefer having one click access to everything on the home page, over a sparser page, with things hidden away in menus. I'd rather not have to search and click through menus to find what I'm looking for.
By the way, I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.2. I will agree that the page width ought to be shortened a little as I (and I presume most others) still use the 800x600 resolution.

It would be nice to get fair warning when major changes are coming.
I love the new colors and larger print BUT...
1. The tabs look cheesy and there are too many of them.
2. I'd like to have the option to be able to disable winks...I detest them.
3. It would be nice to have the option to make your friends list PRIVATE.
4. Home page is too busy but I do like the new videos feature
5. I don't like to side to side scroll.
I think by integrating some of the old with the new...you will find a happy medium. Don't worry...you know in here someone is bound to complain.
Oh Mod, if I go gold, can I have what I want? A side of fries with that please!

I finally found the post a comment notation...but had to scroll way over to the left to do it. I just read all the comments, and now I have a headache from scrolling back and forth for EACH one.
I'll have to go over the entire thing once again to see if I can find everything. If you remove the need for scrolling, I'll adapt to the rest of the changes.

Just read more of the posts and found some complaining about the page width. Try going into your control panel and adjusting your resolution to 1280 X 800. You will find that the page now fits your screen and it is still readable. I'm surprised that the Mods haven't suggested that solution already. Must be nap time for them(lol).

I moved my resolution to 960 by 600! It is much better! I would need to go to 1024 by 768 in order to get the total page in! Thus reducing the shortcuts on my desktop to where I will need a magnifying glass in order to tell which is which! Yes I am joking....a little...but the shortcuts are too small which would cause me to change the resolution each and every time I leave and enter you site! I have the capability to change my resolution from my task bar......oh well so be it....I will go to the higher resolution.....I give up....I surrender.......the white flag is flying!!!!!

Sorry but I hate it.....very ugly, too much stuff. Would be better if we could turn on or off sections (customize OUR home page) like the major portal sites. For example, I pay NO attention to the quizzes, due to bandwidth I don't watch videos but now I'm forced to give up desktop real estate to those and lose a the nice long list of blogs that I loved.

you show up as being online right now, you were able to post. obviousely we see that you exist (and you have 16 friends right there on your list!) click on your screen name and you'll see that you're right there.

Really bad design on the "front page". Quizzes and videos don't interest new people...current members do -- and they are strung down the side instead of featured prominently in the middle.
I use netscape for MD viewing and the tabs are allright at the top of the page -- right underneath my tabs for my "tabbed browser".
And I think the colors are lousy and I miss the red blinking mailbox...

The design assumes the browser is set to full screen. Bad Assumption!!! Making people maximize the program is rude. The display should adjust to the width of the window.

Yep....really MISSING my little blinking red mail box. The changing of the word "mail" to red really does not grab my attention when I am manuevering on the site. Really miss the small profile name search box, too. I do like some of the changes within the site, but the Home page..uggggggg.

i think i prefer the other format. this seems too "busy" and i don't care for the layout or colours. i especially like the mail set up in the previous version. i could stay on my home page and know what was going on without changing screens. i liked the fact that i could put the mouse on "mail" and see, immediately, if i had mail. there was no need to click on another tab and open another window. i also liked seeing the counter on the same page. it gave me something to do when i was bored....LOL. i don't blog so i have no comment on that aspect of the site.

Easy enough to get used to... . It would be nice to see views on videos and to be able to delete videos.....some become unavailable through YouTube but remain on our lists....others, I find better videos and would like to replace old ones...but I must say I love the video feature.....it is my favorite. Thanks MD.

Seem to have lost the ability to have a default setting for viewing who's online (gallery/normal) I prefer the gallery view myself..
Oh, also the default settings for search and/or who's online for a secific age/distance range. Not that I don't mind looking at pretty 18 year olds, but I'd much rather see pretty women closer to my age range instead of clicking page after page..
Can't seem to find anything else to bitch about, maybe in a few days

With the video feature I need to clarify....once a video rolls off the 35th page....it is in our personal vault for eternity....we can't tell if it is still being viewed....that's one of the reasons I wish we could delete....I don't like cyberclutter.
I agree with whatagal....it would be nice to have a private friends list with all the amenities such as bulletin boards, shout outs, etc. I don't understand the concept of a public friend's list...but I'm a private person by nature. For now, I utilize the favorite's list.
More emoticons would be good......for when I'm too tired to type responses.
Love that we can't post pics on the blog page...I did it as well but understand it wreaks havoc with older computers.
Hopefully, you guys can catch duplicate accounts immediately...at least to keep tabs on them...they are very deceptive. I don't know how many views and emails I get from people who delete their accounts the very next day...hmmmm.....interesting.
I'm still navigating a bit....used to it for the most part already......not much different from before. The weirdest aspect is how the sign in and other features moved from the right to left side...have to train myself all over again to find it....lol.....

Well it doesnt fit in anything other than a maximized window. most of the time I dont run my web windows that way because i have more than one open. I think having to scroll across all the time will get old...in blogs and emails. I know it was designed for a higher res then I am running on this box. oh well. Just this fact alone I vote for the old style back.

I'm wondering if you are still refining all of this? Overall it's good, but there are features gone that made it more enjoyable! When you go to browse "Who's Online" there is no longer a way (unless I just missed it) to set it up, by pics only, by age, or preference. Like so many others, I don't like having to go side to side to read everything! One thing that I miss from a ways back, is when you click on a profile it opens in a new window! So, if you are still working on it maybe you will take care of these things?

I have been playing around here I am not sure if it is like or not yet.. A couple of observations per what other's have said.. The font in the tabs could be different I think that someone called it cheap looking.. I like the tabs but the font is to generic and this gives that impression.. The old page was a lot richer looking and this was due to less white, light colors this is like supermarket colors when the other had more of the ambiance of a quiet restaurant.. The wide format is alright for my computer screen as I have a flat screen so not problems there.. I have not tried the lap top but then again I just blog on this on computer.. Smile.. play with the colors a but more create an ambiance towards dating,, You know warm and richer.. Font is important also.. Smile.. Ok I will post more if I think of it... Have fun change is well change why does it have to be good or bad... It is the spice of life.. It charges the old brain cells.. LOL major stores do it all the time...
So warm up the colors, back grounds, etc...

I was quite shocked and it took me a few tries to figure out how to log in, but I think after getting used to it, it will be fine. With the EXCEPTION of the size.  I don't like that at ALL.
I was hoping that the next time you guys updated things, you would add how long everyone has been on the site... Became a member on 6/28/07... I know others have mentioned that to you as well. It should would help.

i'm a newvbie, just getting used to the old site, now it changes. don't really like it, but that's the way things are today. get used to a cell phone and they discontinue it. same with cars, computers, tools, (at least my tools last). So I guess I'll just have to get used to it. UNLESS some wonderful woman sees my profile and then I won't need this site anymore.

under the old way, i could look at who was on, without having to look at the ones from china, or a the ones under 40. i could see the 20 (?) latest blogs, and choose which one to read. if there is an organization to the new set-up. i haven't been able to find it. if i can't read blogs, or eliminate those from other countries, i'll quietly leave.

overall I think its just great. busy, yes, but very handy. I use browser tabs alot, and want one home page open with all the goodies.
user views/profile views - the difference in this number was really nice to have.
would love to see those boxes be sizable, movable & deletable, not enough blogs visible. people write those suckers mighty quick some days. maybe there could be an option on the blogs page to have the new blogs displayed like they were on the home page....the blogs page currently shows way too much text totally blows the catchy double-entendre titles people write
in my browser (firefox 2.0.0.3 on gentoo linux) the top list (my account/mail/winks/etc...) jumbles up on the next line in the default font. to get it all lined up as you had intended I gotta make that font so tiny I can't read anything. 
the ability to filter on the who's online by sex, seeking, and age range sought was great. can we get that back, and add that to the regular (quick and detailed) search? that would be cool.
more smileys in the gold? might just be worth it.
got one checkin' its mailbox (and pouting/happy)?
oh yeah, I have looked for, and not seen, and due to the scammer situation you really need to get for us:
user signup date right there on the user's profile. Way easier to decide that the pidgin english speakers are bogus if you see similar or bunk looking names with yesterday's signup date.

She's an artist, btw ...but she said what I'd have wanted to say if I'd had the time to ressurect the vocabulary.
I guess I just tend to lean toward slightly "sophisticated", slightly gentler colors rather than "trendy", but the more subtle colors give the overall feeling of "stability" and "trust" (it's a subtle psychological thing -- honest ) ... and I think the overall purpose of the site is to attract and instill a sense of "permanance" and "warmth", not "fast-food-blitz-and-bling" (like MySpace, ChuckyCheese and DisneyWorld, etc )
~sigh~ and this isn't a reflection of the designers here other than possibly a matter of age and experience...and maybe fancier computers. I know how wickedly complicated it is to pull together a cohesive coordinated page (or brochure, promotion or product material), muchless continue the continuity throughout the entire site (and that's without the programming aspect!) -- especially taking into account that not all computers have the exact same color settings.
(I'm really having one heck of a time with the scrolling, though That sounds like the most universal problem...and resetting my resolution messes up any other sites I visit ~groan~ )
Oh!...and the option to open a profile (or mail) in another window was extremely convenient and useful! I use a separate opened window as a reference ALL the time so I know who or what I'm talking to or about...I know you guys all use Firefox (and it has some sort of window tabs ), but please-please-please consider us poor old IE -- or NetScape -- dinosaurs...don't forget the majority of computers come with IE or NS as a default and 75% of computer users aren't computer wizards like you are, lol. I can open a second browser, but it won't open my mail or show me signed in... )
Kudos to the efforts of the whole crew. We'll be looking forward to the "refinements" ( )
But I still LOVE ya...except for the "size matters" thingy

I like it..I came on after you first changed it last night and don`t seem to be having any of the problems with the width or anything..guess it just depends on the computer..hmmmmm I don`t know..I think its much nicer looking. Doesn`t bother me iffin the mail doesn`t light up. Not that hard to click on the mail and check it without the light. Kudos MD!

I liked the old MD, I liked the VERY old MD from years ago, and I like the new MD. To sum up: I LIKE MD! Period.
The winks were always cool and fun, and I never could understand what people thought that was so annoying about them? I thought they were a great "ice breaker".
I can't slam you guys for any reason today, because I'm so happy in my new life, with the man I met from here! You guys rock
I have to appreciate that this is a free site, and any enhancements, changes, or updates you do, is not something I feel I should complain about. Yes, there are some things I'm not wild about, but I'm an adult and can "get over it" I work on so many operating systems, and use so many different "sites" that each one has something that's not perfect. That's why I"m good at adapting to change instead of whining about it.
All in all, I think you guys are the best, and you're providing a service to folks to interact, connnect and make friends possible in a venue that wouldn't be as possible on other sites.
Big thanks to all you MD mods and staff for this site. I don't care if you turn it purple, orange, or yellow ( but blue happens to be my favorite color, so KUDOS to the new color scheme! )

Better yet...bring back the old style or give us the option to continue using it.

I'm a bit disappointed with the new design....being a writer....being that it was through blogs that I found my match....I feel you have done a dis-service concerning the blog area. New blogs only stay on the top for less than 30 minutes...and then you have to go searching. Quizes and vidieos don't need to be on front page. Navigation is harder...not easier....
Also, if you want to improve this, make it so we can see which blog posts we have commented on, like it is for forums. Considering front page blogs get moved to back page very quickly, it's hard to keep track of what we want to keep an eye on.
Just some suggestions.

This is most defiantely going to hurt peoples chances of findind someone! With only five minutes on the front page for a blog, and about 30 on the ist back page, this reduces the number of views by about 75%. Without the interaction, how is anyone suppose to get to see other peoples thoughts, without have to search back pages? Feeding of of others comments is another way to see how someone is. If the blog isn't fresh, that will be lost.

The width of the website is too wide. It takes too long to check email because now have to go more steps than before. The design itself needs improvement. It may look better when width goes back to normal. I also lost friends that were asking permission the other day. I guess that have to request again.
I think that the color scheme choose could be better. It really doesn't look professional the way it is right now.
I do like the larger print. It is easier to read.
Overall rating of the change is not bad but not great either. I still trying to find my way around to see how easy or difficult it is to navigate in here. You said this was the beta version. I will wait and see how the real version looks like when done.

This could take some getting used to. Just noticed a couple of things.
1. No search by name now.
2. You took away the "Classic Who's Online"
You should have done these a few at a time so not people didn't get stressed out so bad. Keep trying to do the best you can.

I have something to add here...
As a colour blind person, I have to say, the front page assaults my eyes in a way I've never experienced before. The colours are horrible and much too busy...please give us the option to select our own colour scheme and customize the modules on the front page. I really don't care about the 'singles events and parties' or the 'new videos'. I could make my own front page less busy if I could delete those modules.
Also, I really miss the drop down menus for mail and such...can we get those back?

I'm serious. I understand that this is a private business and MD has the right to change things if they want. But this new design is horrid. The only advantage paying member have is the ability to do graphic, pics, etc. And with this new design that ability is worthless. I don't think its right for you to take payments in advance for a service and then change the terms of the agreement, and/or abilities people pay for without asking them.

Well, at first I thought I was in the wrong site. Then I felt it a little cool because of the nice blue color. After that, I kinda dislike it because it looked messy and I find it a little hard to look for my regular sites. I guess it's just a matter of time getting used to this new design. But for now, I guess I have to waste more time looking for my regular sites that I like to go.

boy, what a pain it is to have to scroll through all these comments in order to post my thoughts...first thing that came to mind......but all in all MD is a good and unique site...and i for one don't accept change easily, and this change is no exception, but , like with anything, i will adjust...I do miss the mail choices..main and the one that doesn't go along with the profile settings [ i forget the name right now...dahhh...] eventually i do read them all, but....another thing i miss is the ease of seeing the blogs and forums, just seems more cumbersome.....

Change can be good if given a chance....and without risking, change would never take place!

OK, so change is generally icky sometimes, but I can adapt. Overall, the changes aren’t a horror-show … certainly not worth leaving over. Here are my thoughts, for what they are worth …
I agree with Sciurusniger regarding the tabs on the top. Cheap is a good word. And the font is truly awful. I also agree with the many objections to the colors. It appears confused on the color scheme front, not to mention more white than I ever want to look at on a screen.
The current amount of content is fine with me, but the future possibility of customizable/moveable content mentioned by MD earlier is an even better one.
Winks … sigh … and … ugh … and … ewww. But whatever. To each his own.
I do have a suggestion regarding the “[insert state/country name here] Message Board” section that has always been a part of our home page.
I live in New Hampshire. It has taken over a year for that little box to reach the count of five “new” posts. I’m quite sure there are similar folks from similarly small areas that can relate to this.
I would also point out that of the all the couples and friends I’ve seen brought together here at MD, only a small percentage of them originally come from the same state, province, or even region of the globe. Furthermore, even the members who are interested in dating strictly within their own state still enjoy the broad interaction of the forums and blogs.
Put simply, displaying only the latest forum posts from a particular region is, in many cases, not at all useful. Nor does it necessarily attract large numbers to the forums.
Which brings me to my suggestion: A general, across the board (so to speak) “Latest Forum Posts” section on the home page, made as large as the “New Blogs” section and not limited to state or region.
This could produce a really nifty side-effect ... especially for the MD Mod. Perhaps, just perhaps, the amount of discussion, arguing, direct-question-asking, and general attention-hounding would decrease. Faced with some really “juicy” forum threads on the home page, those either unaware of or intimidated by the forums might be more tempted to participate, as would those who seem to feel the need to contradict every trivial point made until their spleen spontaneously erupts from their navel.
The latter is indubitably more attracted to Blogland because it gets their face on the home page. I say give it to them, and in the process, generate less stress in Blogland … and less work for the Mod.
(Whew ... didn't mean to write an entire blog!)

The one good thing about it is that it's helping me break my MD addiction. Instead of my comfortable, sit down at the kitchen table and chat with friends in the forum feeling, I'm always 'walking into walls', clicking on the wrong tab and searching for where I want to go next. It's just uncomfortable enough that I'm finding other things more appealing. Granted I could go through the learning curve, but then I think if I'm gonna go through a learning curve anyway, try something entirely different.

Honestly,I liked the older version much better.Just felt more navagational.The darker blue background was more appealing.I thinks its one of the things that sets this site apart from all the others.Well..it did.I think the darker blue is supposed to be the ideal color as far as marketing is concerned.Some say colors have psychological effects in various degrees.The darker blue,for me,just had a better feel to it.If ya get what I mean?Just an idea,but why not have a poll?Based on looks and functionality,ask a short series of questions to members.If the majority likes it,then future visitors will likey take to it as well.Some of the new features are pretty cool.

I have waited about responding to these changes because I am prone to react negatively to changes, since they tend to complicate our lives. In this case some of the changes might be good but many are not. I also produce and maintain web sites for several clients and have to contend with the same issues that you have here. You (MatchDoctor) say that you felt you needed the extra horizontal width to get the content on the page, but as I view each box I see much wasted horizontal space in each one individually which means the same content could have been placed in narrower boxes. This might have compelled you to make each page slightly longer but I heard no complaints about scrolling up and down, only left to right.
Yes, I agree with most, that you are trying to get too much content on one page
The colors do not bother me
If people are not sure where they are when they open the page, it is only because the MatchDoctor logo is placed to the right instead of the left. I would never do that to any client of mine. It would be a supreme tactical error for several reasons
I appreciate this site. I try not to complain when there are things I do not like because as a non paying member I do not feel it is my "right" to do so.

I do not like the who's online classic being gone. The singles online by state is not nearly as nice, and shows both sexes online on the first click, really, how many people are interested in both? You can then click women, but this is too much clicking, and still not as nice as the old who's online classic, or the even nicer quick loading who's online without pictures from before all of these changes.

who's online "classic" is still there. click on "gallery view".
and to read your state's forums, click on the state under the "usa" tab (like always)
i don't think blogs were ever sorted by state.

I hate this new design. I have dial up and it was easier to just load the home page without 50 million pictures and topics. Plus I hate looking at myself and now that there is a big honking picture of ME on the hompage, I'm avoiding it. Thanks to the 5 minute load time of the new homepage, I won't be back unless I get mail. which won't happen.

Can anyone tell me how you read just your state's blogs/forums??? Click the forums for the state you live in. *there is a box on the home screen with your states froums by the way" Then once you are viewing all the threads for your state, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, at the bottom underneath all the threads, it will show the blogs only in your state.

ForumMod, Gallery View is not anything like Who's Online Classic...it looks similar, but Who's Online Classic let you filter by gender, sexual preference, and age...this change is a step backward, rather than forward. There is not a way in the new interface to filter Who's Online, by age or sexual preference at all, only by state, and then by gender, and even at that it's way clunkier than Who's Online Classic which worked just great...I really miss it.

I think I could get used the new design... if the page weren't so WIDE!!! It really is a pain in the butt. I find myself logging on less and less now that I have to scroll back and forth to read anything.

From a designer's point of view, the site looks kind of bland and way too busy. Most of the changes aren't that bad but these wide pages are a pain in the a$$. When I read blog comments, my head keeps shifting back and forth like I'm at a tennis match. It's free and I appreciate that but I have to say, "I liked the old design better."

The old layout was just fine. Why did you have to go and change it? Why did you guys get rid of the Who's Online Classic? This new set up is too much of a pain to go through just to see whos online.

Someone gave us instructions on changing the Screen Resolution. I followed their directions and have mine at 1024 - 768 and now can read the whole line without scrolling.
Of course, I have a few other things that are weird looking now, but for the time being I'm no longer getting "reading headaches"!
I'm determined to adjust to "change". (And I have faith that the Mods will eventually re-touch things that need it!.) And, I have patience,, too.

Well, my 'Winks' don't work for starters..... I can receive them but not return them. It might have something to do with the fact that placing my cursor over the 'Send Wink' button it reads send virtual gift, which is the same as placing my cursor over the 'Send Virtual Gift ' button........ So far...

Ok, I've been a member of this place for YEARS. Everything that has been done to this site in the past few years needs to be REVERSED. It has become completely useless and impossible to navigate. To the point I don't even like coming here anymore.
Go back to the way it used to be, lest I should have to delete my account.

Blogs are kind of a drag. You get a few and go down through them, then you click on view all and you go through the same ones over again...you look at one on the third page and comment to it and try to get back to the third page -- there just is not a short way to do it -- hit view more blogs and you are on that silly page where you have to click on view all blogs...
Also...where are the friends' requests? If you don't make an immediate decision, are they gone?
Otherwise, I am getting used to the changes and think you guys do an awesome job of responding to most of our desires.

Adding my two cents:
I'm still waiting for a tab on My Favorite's Page that allows me to view comments on blogs (and now videos) that my friends have made--in the same way we can view our Favorite's forum posts.....

RULE 1, if it and broke dont fix it or... if it aint broke, mess with it till it is.
well now the site is broken. first of all, cookies no longer work. so when i view online people i have to tell my browser i only want to view FEMALES!!!!! and that i want the gallery view. if i redo the search i have to tell it this again. EVERY TIME!!!!
Also. the links at the bottom right of the page to move back and forth through the pages is OFF THE PAGE NOW!!! i have to use my scroll bar to hit them!!!
Ive created two support tickets on this issue, one of which i created within minutes of the change coming into effect and i have received zero replies. thats another issue thats broken here :/

I like the regular blog list on the home page. I already missed it being cut in half, but adjusted. But I liked to log on and go direct to it, glance at it and read a few whenever I got a few minutes break in my hectic day. It was my quick, stress-relief fix.

The change is okay. I did like browsing by descending age. that's not really a complaint; keep it free and I'll hold on til I find "HER", lol.

I AM one for change...think change can be good, but not here. I have spent much less time on this site now than ever....don't like ANY of the new stuff....I don't look at the videos or put any on. I don't care who from my home state is on or care as I dislike the state I am living in and am trying to get OUT of it. I'm a grown woman and have no need for the quizzez and games...I really came here trying to date and chat and get to know some men before I actually went out with them...OR blog about things with my select friends. All these other bells and whistles and colors and 'stuff' is distracting and I am glad to see that I am not the only one who doesn't like most of it.
I do like he spell checker. AND PLEEEEEEEASE~~put back he red flashing 'you got mail' indicator back....and lite it up again! It was a good try, but no thanks!

putting the banners on the left only makes the scrolling issue worse...
now the center of the page is so far to the right, that I only see half the page...
forcing me to look at the ads, witch I suppose is the whole point...
of course, if the page simply "must" be to big to fit in my browser window,
I'd love all the krap I don't want or need to read to be on the far right,
or at the bottom...
I understand that this is totally unrealistic
as I really should be reading the ads, because there very important...
the least annoying place for them to be, and still be visible is at the top...
I know I should be running my monitor at whatever resolution you think is best for me...
and if you think I should be running my browser full paged instead of windowed
(as I prefer) then I'm sure that is what's best for me also...
I wish you could make more of My decisions for me, as I am getting tired of it...
I already know if I don't like it I am welcome to go someplace else...
as I am more trouble than I'm worth...
and I'm sure nobody really cares how annoying it makes this experience for me...
(now somebody pleas tell me I'm wrong, and the problem is being fixed)

I know we can still use graphics, but as onoudn said, the main reason why I
bought my membership and now you have changed the rules.
I got told a lot that people liked my graphics, they enhanced the blog
and they weren't too big either. I never had one complaint about them.

Looks like everyone must be getting accustomed to the new site design.
I've found most everything I personally find of interest.
I'd still like to make my one request another time.
That is for the profile name search box to be placed back on the home page.
It takes a minimum of 3 clicks the way I find it, to get to that in it's new location. There appears to be room for it in the middle column at the bottom of the page.
PLLLLLLLLLLEASE consider this. Thanks again for all y'all do to make this a great site!~
