It's a rainy day here in Michigan so I am spending a lot of time on MD, catching up on blogs I have missed while at work.
It has me wondering  if people stop and think about some of the things they say on here or any internet site? When you write something it isn't just for your buddies on here to read but sometimes hundreds of people will view your blog or comments. Some I have read are really rude or offensive, some people talk about killing animals just because they hate them, some tell "secrets" like you are the only one they are telling, but don't pass it on! Some are so opinionated they don't realize how utterly blind sighted they are to other people's opinions, some don't care if others have opinions; theirs are the only one that counts.
Well, just food for thought, blogs are fun and it is a place to have your say, just think ... if all the people that read your comments were standing outside your door, would you open it?

hummmm probably not,,,but you touch upon something very interesting,,,,,before the internet,,,,you would never have the ability to really say what was on your mind for fear of being ridiculed ,,harrased called names etc. now with the relative anonyimity of the net,,,you can say all the things you have been dying to say with little fear of personal harm,,,,,,some may take it to far,,,,but it is refresing to finally be able to say that which one has been thinking for so long but because of society's "polite speak" rule has gone unsaid,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just a thought:)

Personally I wouldn't say something behind the privacy of my computer that I wouldn't say standing outside my door, integrity is important to me, and being nice.

fair enough,,,,, and i prefer to say what is on my mind whether it be popular or not,,,,,this is how i maintain my integrity,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,so to each his own

Well, I don't blog much, but I'm not a rude or offensive person anyway (I don't think lol). I do have to be careful what I write on here because my mom's a member too. 
And yes, I would open the door. I'm the same me on here as I am in real life (except maybe with a couple less 4 letter words  ).

That's a good question!! Your thoughts parallel my own this morning. Certainly there are a few "commentors" I'd love to invite in. I don't get too many of the crazies... But there are certainly a lot of commentors and "bloggers" that might make me consider that loaded rifle down the hall...

some don't care if others have opinions; theirs are the only one that counts. Exactly So these people just delete comments to make themselves look righteous.I've written over 100 blogs I've only deleted one comment because of the offensive nature. Both sides need to be heard so all reading can feed off it, and possibly give their insight to the topic.

Dear Boy next door, I have written a number of blogs too, and most I have deleted because the list was too long to me. Anyway, I too only deleted one comment because he was not nice, it doesn't take any more effort to be nice... as a matter of fact I would say getting your blood pressure up and getting nasty takes more effort and frankly less respect from others reading your comments. After awhile their comment is more like shouting than trying to make a point.
