There's only one "conspiracy theory" that worries me, and that's the "deep integration"/NAU conspiracy that's taking place right now, which aims to make Canada and the US one country in almost every possible way, and all without a single vote or a single iota of public input and in most cases entirely without public knowledge of any kind.
The groups involved (mainly NACC, North American Competitive Council and CCCE, Canadian Council of Chief Executives) are comprised of powerful CEO's and other such businessmen, along with top government officials (appointed, not elected officials) on both sides, who want to completely take over running North America, to abolish virtually any and every single regulatory body, agency and commission that in any way protects or defends citizens of these two great countries, and basically dictate their own policy for this imposed-by-big-business "supernation" without being answerable to any degree to the public (or government, which is where things really get scary!) of either nation. We didn't elect any of these people, so what gives them the right to decide such important matters without ANY public input? Oh yeah...they're stinking rich and looking to get even richer, that's what gives them the right...and if you believe that, then forget you ever read this and go back to grazing!
Deep integration/NAU serves no other purpose but to further line the pockets of the world's richest people. This is not a "conspiracy theory," it's a genuine conspiracy, and higher-ups in both our governments are going along with it and doing their level best to muzzle opposition within government, and especially to prevent the public from finding out more and (hopefully) putting a stop to this nefarious scheme! I hope everyone will find out the truth, then harass their representatives until they finally abandon this insane plan!
I'll be at the barricades (meant to keep the protesters out, of course) at Montebello, Quebec (not very far from Ottawa, Canada's capital) during their August 21-22 summit, at which they will be very surprised to find mass demonstrations awaiting them, as more and more Canadians learn the truth about this terrible scheme and begin to make moves to stop it. I can only hope that our American friends will also join us in trying to put a stop to this monstrous attempt on the part of big business and big government to seize control of both our fine nations and run them as they please without being accountable to ANY level of government!

Just a quick note...this is no joke, this is not a gag I dreamed up for peoples' amusement...this is a very real and dangerous conspiracy that is taking place right now. Nobody in either country elected these people, so how is it they think they can run both our countries, without being answerable to anybody but their own greed?

from personal experience, most of those rumors are disinformation designed to cause alarm, conspiracy, etc. no, I'm not making fun of you. I too used to fall for that crap, but yrs later it still hasn't happened. like the supposed taking of our guns, the 911 bs conspiracy theories, etc. all bs!

Unfortunately, Trubolt, that's just not the case here...this is very real, and it's taking place right now; it's the next phase of NAFTA, and if we don't stop it in its tracks, we are all going to lose a lot more than just a few jobs here and there.
Please take the time to research this properly before you jump to the conclusion that it's just another hoax, because I can assure you that if you did the research I have, you'd realise just what a threat this really is. Since when do unelected and unaccountable rich people and government appointees decide how our countries will be run?
I haven't been to a protest in many years, not since the 80s when I was one of the original organisers of the Peace Camp on Parliament Hill when we were protesting the testing of cruise missiles in Canada's Far North. I left the peace movement/protest movement because it was becoming much too radicalised and violent, even then. In spite of that, I will be taking part in the protests aimed at exposing this group and getting more mainstream press coverage. Until now, the mainstream press has virtually ignored this issue entirely, all because their bosses and owners told them to.
Yes, I'm actually going to risk my crippled, broken-down old body on the barricades, that's how serious this issue is. I wouldn't be doing that if it weren't a VERY big deal indeed!

However, as I have an online business, I have to wonder what kind of impact it would have on it if all of this is true. I do feel that every day, more and more of our rights are being taken away and if we continue to act like sheep, well we'll be penned up just like them.

Hey Mac, I want to thank you for the eye opening information, and if I can make it up there for the protest, I'll help keep ya upright.  To all of you who, think this is just another conspiracy theory, you might want to watch a Micheal Moore movie, or god forbid even watch the news or read a paper. I have been screaming about the CANMEX deal for years when I stumbled onto the SPP site about 5 yrs back. They called me crazy..... Now Senor Boosh is pushing for it, thats why he wont  do anything about immigration and was pushing amnesty.
