I had a 2 year relationship with a man where we were more than nuts for each other ..... everything was great, the talking, the kissing, the sex, EVERYTHING but one thing for me ---- he was way too possessive. He wanted to spend every minute with me, he wanted to join the same exercise club I was at,, he wanted to know who I was talking to on the phone, what we said, who looked at me, ya da ya da. He bought me jewelry, bought flowers weekly; this went on for two years until I couldn't take it any more, I needed my life back.
Anyway, we broke up and 4 years later I saw him at a singles dance, I went up to him and asked him "what is a nice guy like him was doing in a place like this?" Just joking of course....... well he didn't recognize me! I didn't change that much, maybe wearing my glasses and hair a little differently. He looked at me strangely and I realized he didn't have a clue who I was! I couldn't believe it.
So just goes to show you.......... life DOES go on without you! ha ha

I bet he knew who you were but too ashamed to admit it. You don't spend two years with someone and not see them for a couple and not know who they are...

I agree with Cuda . Can't spend two years with someone and forget that easily . He could also still be bitter that you left him go .

that makes absolutley no sense...unless his next girl thumped him on the head and then he got amnesia....or he has a twin you don't know about or....the original guy got abducted by aliens and he has since been taken over by this alien presence
or.....our young man just doesn't deal with refection easily...out of sight out of mind, huh?

If, he did forget you, after all that, his brain function is very poor. Or he is too self centered. But even than, it just sounds impossible. I attended my 40-th highschool reunion this summer. I recognized everybody, and everybody recognized me. And, we do change in 40 years, don't we? I understand you and him was an accidental meeting, but still, I tend to believe that he recognized you, but pretended not to. Anything is possible. Just be glad he is not in your life anymore.

It be possible that during those 4 years he may of had an injury that prevents him from remembering you? After an injury that I had years ago Ive had someone walk up to me and ask how I am doing. They know me but I dont know them.I can remember when I was 4 years old but not when my son was 4.

I'll be he knew you livinproof, he was maybe ashamed of embarassed. How could you know know someone you had a 2 year relationship with? Of course I could be wrong. What happened after that? Did you 2 get back together? Did you chat and catch up at that dance?

No Snoopyman, we didn't go out, after we made pleasantries, we went our separate ways. I told my best fried about this and she said, "I wouldn't tell anyone he didn't recognize me"
I don't know what the real story was, but I felt like a big pile of poo poo.
