I read an article about The Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorist's
"Drunkbusters" program. It allows the public to call in any motorist
they feel is driving intoxicated and receive a cash reward.
Guess they feel that the cash rewards will prompt more tips
from drivers who otherwise would not get involved.

I can say that I have not witnessed someone driving erractic
on the road that I thought was drunk....yet.

There just have been too many deaths amongst teenagers lately.
I believe they should place a car that has been in a
DUI wreck at the schools around Prom time, Graduations
whatever...to reminder the kids it can happen too anyone.

they did that at my high school. i remember people walking by it and wondering if the people lived, and looking in amazement at the damage sustained.

I followed what had to be one of the worse drivers I had ever seen...and after she almost took me and another car out (severed across two lanes) I called the police - as I followed her (telling the dispatcher exactly what she was doing - speeding up and slowing down (rapidly), wandering all over the highway, barely missing a few cars (the dispatcher could hear the car horns of pissed off motorist she almost clipped)...I followed her down the highway over 30 miles before patrol cars pulled her over and the dispatcher asked that I pull over behind the cruisers....I sat there and sat there...and this very nice police officer came back and said "she is not drunk or under the influence..." and I saw her pull back onto the highway....my jaw dropped and I said what about "reckless driving?" ...the response - "sorry we did not see it..." Guess they could not take my word for it or my passengers (what about all the details I gave to the dispatcher....and NONE of the patrol cars followed her out onto the highway...she was on her way and I had to back track 20 miles to get to my destination....
