I recently joined another singles site that happened to have "ratings" on photos allowed. I'll admit that my profile on that site is less serious than my profile on other sites, and the tone itself may have been partly responsible for the ratings that showed up on my photo.
In my profile on that site I wrote:
About me: "Ah ain't tall, I ain't rich, and I ain't purty." I am loyal and smart.
I'm looking for: Heather Locklear, Nichole Eggert or Sherilyn Fenn. (Gimme a break.) I will edit this at some point to be a little more realistic. Unless Heather, Nichole or Sherilyn give me a call between now and then.
Of the 14 people who elected to rate my picture, 1 gave me a 10 (though deleted her profile shortly thereafter and I suspect I know who it was). My cumulative rating from the other 12 ladies and 1 male (?!?) was a 2.3 out of 10.
So, call it baggage, call it whatever you want. But when someone tells me they think I'm handsome, my bullshit antennae start twitching. When I'm in an interesting mood, I think it's funny if I then suggest we meet in person for a cup of coffee sometime just so I can watch them start backpedaling and searching for excuses as to why that really isn't a good idea at the time. When I'm in the kind of mood I'm in today, I wish they'd just quit.

There's nothing wrong with how you look. You certainly aren't UGLY! I'd say average looking and there's nothing wrong with that. Aren't MOST of us average looking??!! Rating pictures is total bull. What has that got to do with anything anyway! It's the beauty within that counts.

I don't go for those "ratings" things. You know "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder." But really, Nightowl, do you think 13 opinions is a fair average? Hmm. Well, never mind...I still think it's BULLSHIT!

sir! i absoulutly can relate with your circumstances ,, when my bull antena starts blinkin its pretty much the direct end of my conversation with that person/s.
done the surveys the pics the rating all that got the T-shirt. gave it to a homless person. i dont know why they say those things or what there after but man i got a mirror and know every flaw i see in it. so keep the bull check at the door.

Good for you! I do not think that a "rating" system is such a good idea to begin with!..For heavens sakes..how in the sam hill does that enable one to get to know another?
Big freakin whoop if someone NEEDS that kinda thing. The people who know themselves..and what they have inside...that is what is important..Hell with a "grade". We left those behind in school! Just keep being who you are ...nuff said
