i regret that it did not work out between us. however, there comes a time in a man's life when he must move on. i daresay, that time is now.

i remember that day months ago when i first saw your profile. i put in my search terms, added the radius within which i was to search...and there you were. "smiling_amy". what a beautiful name! and such a beautiful picture. "please don't bother to respond if you don't have a picture". oh, don't worry, amy...i have one! "i don't do hookups!" well, me either.

day after day i'd log in. i'd check your profile to see if anything has been added or if anything has changed. it hasn't. it says "last activity: > 3 months". to be honest, i'm not sure how long it's said that. i never noticed that feature before now. or i never paid attention to it. but now it says over 3 months. and i have to say, i can't wait that long.

i once waited for a girl for over 3 months, and i have to say that wasn't a very smart thing to do at the time. i remember when i was a senior in highschool. i had dated a girl for 2 months, and then she had to go to college. she told me that she would visit me in over 3 months. that over 3 months never came. i remember waiting over 5 months for snuggly_susan. that was the longest over 5 months of my lilfe.

you think you know a person. i remember looking for snuggly_susan in the phone book. no listing. for all i know she ran off with another man. i bet it was that bastard lorenzo12. oh well, i hope they're happy together.

i cannot do that to myself again. i cannot put myself thru such agony. if your last activity was > 3 months then i have to just walk away. i know you must think i'm cold for doing such a thing. but i must do this for me. i need to know that the person i am with will be around with a last activity of Online Now!, or at the very least 2 days ago. the most i can handle would be the occasional 1 week ago. but > 3 months ago!? you must think i'm a pushover.

it is with great dismay that i click this link, smiling_amy, to remove you from my favorites list. maybe we'll meet again in the future sometime, under better circumstances.
