Okay, so it's a hot holiday weekend and I have nothing better to do with my life than generate statistics. I thought it might be interesting to take a snapshot of everyone chatting on-line and see what the demand is for guys in different age groups. I took all women looking for men as of today at 10:30 am and compiled the data by age of the woman versus the lowest and highest age of the guys they are interested in meeting. Sorry ladies, you can waste your own time doing this exercise for men looking for women.
Here's the key to the data below: 1 st column is age of guy, 2nd column is percentage of women on-line out of 207 that are looking for a guy of this age, 3rd column is average age of the women in the percentage looking, 4th column is average low age for men being sought, and 5th column is average high age for men being sought.
25 19% 28 22 46 35 48% 35 28 49 45 58% 43 35 55 55 41% 50 41 64
I did calculate a row for guys 65 years of age but the data is skewed because of the small population size. And since I'm already 50, I'm hoping the internet will mature over time because less than 12% of women are looking for these guys.
So, interesting numbers. The demand for men seems to peak around 45 years of age but is still very good at 55, more so than for 25 year olds. That's a surprise or maybe too many young people have better things to do than chat. Another pattern is that women tend to seek guys who are 7 years younger to 14 years older. Now these are averages and include women who only want younger or only want older. So please don't tell me how you are the exception. Unless you're cute, and available, and happen to like guys who waste their time doing stuff like this rather than doing real work.
