I applauded and shook my head all at the same time today when I read a comment by an anti-religious person. This person is so anti-religious, they spend enormous amounts of time trying to make christianity look bad

here is a quotation from a forum "The effects of the Roman Catholic church are devastating and it should matter to you. It should matter to everyone with a conscious. People are dying because of religious beliefs and that includes exorcisms and faith healings from evangelicals"

While I generally agree with the person regarding the destruction from the Roman catholics ... there is little to no current affect on any society from them today compared to history ... and therefore misplaced ... and it is also a BIG MISTAKE to call them evangelicals

What I find REMARKABLE, is the fact that islam was not mentioned. Nearly all people against religion lump catholics into Christianity (although others will not claim them) and claim catholocism has murdered millions in the name of God ... what they fail to recognize is the fact that the muslims were IN FACT murdering catholics and Christians for hundreds of years before the Roman Catholic Pope declared war against them (yes yes yes, R catholics eventually went overboard killing Greek Christians ... I know)

The point is ... is that muslims have been murdering millions for years and years ... yet no one takes this same approach to their hateful ways - as they do in an attempt to discredit people who say they are Christians who do not practice Christian behaviors ... which they think discredits real Christians ... and yet again these very same people expect to be viewed as "fair" and credible ...

	spare - you know he is a whack job - why do you bother? I will bet that he had an incident - maybe a rear end accident - as a child. The hatred he spews is sickening. Yet as you point out - the Muslims get a free pass. In todays world Muslim terrorism is responsible for more deaths every day of the week than any identifiable group. The irony is that the Muslim terrorists are proud of it! Yet hatred of Christians and Jews is spewed daily here on MD. Insane! My prayer is that idiots like that do not vote!

	Catholicism is a religion. Baptist is a religion Epicopalian is a religion Methodist is a religion Christianity is a way of life. However people are quick to point fingers at christians b/c we are not perfect. This is what Christianity is about. Knowing we are NOT perfect. Knowing Jesus Died for us because GOD knew we weren't perfect and NEVER WOULD BE. However we strive to get better everyday. Life on earth is here to produce lessons. That is what it is about. The difference in being a Christian or not is knowing I am Not Perfect Confessing This Asking forgiveness Asking for help in getting better. When it comes to the wars between the muslims and jews...( they have both been killing each other for centuries..) I say leave it be and Let GOD sort them out.

They have not been killing each other for centuries. You also need to understand that it is not about the Jews or Israelis anymore. Muslims terrorists are killing people in Thailand, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia - to name a few EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK! They kill mostly Muslims! The 9-11 attacks were not about Jews. They want to kill us!

	I really think the big controversy is the confusion and misconception, not understanding the difference between true Christianity and religion. fighting the cause to those with deaf ears, is futile spare. They are using you to further their point, that Christians are warped narrow minded and ignorant. its a waste of time. but for continuing the effort.

	I don't put much into religion i just see it as another way of dividing people , my love is to god and only god , no matter what part of the world you pray from or what ever name you call him/her , he/she is the same 1 god . faith in god is the only faith

	I know they are a very difficult person ... but it's also not about them ... I could have quoted hundreds of people with all the same mindset that the doggie picked up on ... that is - they cannot distinguish between the guy who shows up versus the guy who's maybe on tv versus Pastor Scott and I will keep it up doggie ... someone has to help those people understand the difference ... and hopefully convey what they will be missing

	spare - the easiest stance is to proclaim that you are an Atheist - then you are held to NO ethical standards and you get to do whatever you want! You can't be a hypocrite when you profess no morals!

	Yep and these are the same people who walk into a courtroom and demand justice. Point out a few bad apples and call the bunch rotten. That is if there not starving...................................... Some often are to quick to point out the bad in the attempt to shadow the tremendous good. They focus on the 2% rather then the 98%. The media and liberals utilizes the same tactics. Let's turn the tables and focus on what there ideology has brought us.

	OK spare - there is the kudo! Longs argument reminds me of the political hypocrisy of the Atheist Dems - they want ot appoint a thief like William Jefferson to the committee post that will investigate HIM - for having $40,000 in marked cash in his freezer. We heard little mention of Harold Ford's Uncle - a long time State Senator - Dem of course that was just convicted with for extortion and accepting bribes. The Dems lined up to support him! Now they somehow figure out that Billary's top fund raiser - and a contributor to many other Dems - was a FUGITIVE - What do we hear from the Dems? "How were we to know?" LMAO - This week he jumped a $2 Million bail that he posted. Hmmmmmm. See - it is easy when you have no morals! Then you can feel compassion for anyone but a Christian!
