This summer has been devoid of most of the usual songbirds I am accustomed to seeing. Prince Albert in his feline ways has made certain of that. Lately he has taken up the hobby of fish watching. I suppose the goldfish population will be dwindling shortly as well. I put up a want ad in the local grocery store. I say "local" yet it is almost ten miles away. Some older man answered the ad and later, he and his wife came and took Prince Albert away. They say the have a problem with mice but that wont last long. Albert is a terrific mouser. I think DeCon is a lot cheaper than cat food and it does not chase the Indigo Buntings, Cardinals or the Summer Tanagers away. I will miss Prince Albert, but not enough to make me cry. ( I am smiling as I type this)
