It has been just over two weeks now since I nearly cut off my left thumb. My right thumb was actually hurt more but it was the left which was severed to the bone. I was inflating a small tire when it blew up in my hands due to two of 4 bolts missing which should have been holding the tire rim together. My work has been far more difficult since that event. My left thumb required 8 stitches to get it back together again. My right one was jambed so bad by the explosion that it still hurts pretty bad when I use it. Meanwhile I have more work to do then I have had in years so I better get busy.

A mechanic at the shop I use was killed last year in the same way. only it was his head that was hit. Hope you get better real soon.
