I love to dream, it’s a rewarding way to find value in the 4-8 hours per night we usually waste without any ROI. Really, think of any situation that might provoke an emotion and then try to idealize the perfect scenario to maximize the depth of that emotion. A movie or a book might be able to compile a series of events that would otherwise be restricted by physics, dynamics and obstinate variables but that is a story you are privy to in only the world of 3rd person or in historical 1st person if your imagination empowers you so. I believe the most perfect and pure emotions we could ever present to ourselves are those we subject ourselves to in 1st person, real-time in the world of infinite potential and ultimate scenarios within our dreams.

What is the vantage, the value, the differentiation between emotions heart felt in tokened reality and those deriven from our semi unconscious state of transcendental dream? What is it less given that brings tear shed to initial waking moments in memory of subconscious illusion. Hurt, hate, anger, love and loss exist beyond the bounds of the immediate, our direct association to the paraphrase of reality and our limited understanding or control of the variables that entice, enhance and provoke the heart wrenching, empathetic, compassionate moments of our “”lives. Is there any less living in the instances of sentiment that are as so short lived, remembered but only for the moment but as real at each second of such as any other in our lives. Perhaps some of the strongest emotions of loss and love are buried young without consideration by the demanding days ventures that leave true loss to the memory of the momentary existence that for that instant was greater than life itself, truer than reality, more significant than any other event in our given waking life whether drawn from or escaping the likes of. My greatest love has been for the intangible and ever changing entity that has failed to fail my greatest expectation but yet so quickly diminished in dawns early rise.

So now that I have reminded you about how great of a thing it is to dream.... I found an over the counter supplement many years ago called DMAE, intended to increase your short-term memory, long-term memory and your multi-tasking skills. I dont know that it does so great at all that but it has a very strong side effect, lucid dreaming. When you first start taking it, it does take about a month to really take effect. I have found that when I started taking it again in later years the effect occurred much more rapidly. You know, I think maybe its greatest attribute is not in boosting your memory during your waking hours but increasing your ability to remember the details of your slumbers. It also empowers you to realize you are in a dream and take control without waking yourself. I have found endless nights of flight, I have found my way out of any negative situation, I have swam to the depths of the oceans, I have fallen in love with a perfectly non-existent person, I have dreamed books that are all partially written now and not to take any thunder from the original quote but "I have a dream!"
So I say, sleep not just to restore your physical energy, sleep to feed your heart with pure emotion, sleep to realize a true ROI on your dormant hours, sleep to dream!
