Ladies and gentlemen, as much as all of you enjoy reading MY tips each week every now and again i like to allow the readers to actually write "simply romantic" and this next tip is one such occasio... a reader calling serself WYSN commented on my last tip and that comment touched me so much that i asked her permission to share the story with all of you. keep in mind that the"simply romantic" newsletter is all about doing the LITTLE things to show someone you care and THAT is why this story is worthy of being included in this blog.... having said all that here is the e-mail this young lady sent to me... guys i hope it inspires all of you:
I remain great friends with an ex-boyfriend of mine and late one night shortly after my mother passed away I drove an hour and a half to his house at 11:30pm. Only because I needed a hug. YES, that is quite a drive for just a hug, but sometimes you just need one so bad from someone you are so close to. Yes, he was still awake at 1:00 when I got there and he came out to the door and he hugged me, that meant the world just to get a hug. And the fact that although he was then engaged to another woman, he still hugged me, that was priceless. After a hug and a few words I left and drove the hour and a half back home feeling so much better just from a hug.
Yes, little things can mean so much more than buying someone an extravagant gift with no sentimental attachment.
You can also use my ideas of things I've done in the past to show my love and care for someone. Drop a flower or note on their doorstep unexpectedly.( SR's NOTES: sticking them on the car under the wipers is cool too) Just know their eyes will light up knowing someone was thinking of them.
