Okay now that I got the attention of most of the females on here…
First and foremost I wonder, why do girls make such a big deal of shoes? I mean that’s fine if they like them and have a bunch of them, that is your prerogative. What I don’t get is how girls can be so quick to judge a guy based on the shoes he is wearing. Its true, it happens all the time! So I am a Vans, Airwalk, Doc Martin kinda guy and my ownership of shoes has ranged from 1 pair to maybe max 6 pairs of shoes at any one given time with heavy preference to a pair or 2. So what is it you gurls use to determine about guys based on their shoes? I mean I guess I am a little guilty myself as I always thought of guys who wear penny loafers as a bit of putz’s. So I guess I am glad that it is not common that women wear penny loafers. Oh yeah and I dont like those pointy shoes like whats so big in France at moment, I dont know why though.
But really more than shoes…. Tonight we had beer Friday at work to celebrate opening our 1000th store. I work for Chico’s/WHBM/Soma, a series of fashion design and retail clothing companies. At the headquarters we have an amazing amount of talent, soooo many beautiful girls or eye candy as we might call them. And tonight at beer Friday I saw a lot of girls that I was attracted to and never once did I look at their shoes. Have you ever noticed how you can usually just look at someone and have a pretty good idea about if you guys would get along? I mean, yes I found some of the model type, brand name label wearing, bmw girls attractive… But I can look at these girls and I see we are worlds apart, it would never work between us. What I like is when I see the girl who wears her heart on the outside. The pretty girl who doesn’t look pretentious, who doesn’t look like high maintenance, the girl who looks down to earth, that is attractive to me. But I wonder how I come to such assumptions if not with shoes? I read it on their faces I suppose. I think it comes from wearing the heart on the outside, I can tell they are good people who would do anything for anyone just by looking at them. I wonder if my heart is on the outside or not, I mean I know it is but can they see it? Well anyway the bad news is every time I eye a girl who looks right I see that I was not the first and with the 2 caret decree on their ring finger I see some other lucky smoe was at the right place at the right time well before me. I know there are some good girls out there who don’t wear their heart on the outside and make it difficult to see who you are really looking at and maybe for those girls I should start looking at their shoes. If only you girls can tell me what it is I am looking for in those darn copulations of leather and rubber?
So girls, really, what judgments do you come up with based on shoes? If not shoes what do you use to make your initial prognosis?

I don't base my judgments on shoes. If someone based their judgment of me on my shoes, they'd probably think of me as a special ed kid seeing as though my shoes have neon dinosaurs on them. I base my judgments on how the person acts, and how he carries himself. Shoes and clothes typically don't matter.

Loved your header...don't tease us women about free shoes. lol
I can't speak for all women, but shoes can somehow make us feel sexy..plus they complete the outfit..I have many, many shoes and they are alllll cheap..no name brands,,I don't look at labels but the shoe and how many I can get when "BOGO" is going on (women will know this term)..
There's alot of women that wear their heart on their sleeve,,,I do,,love does not scare me nor does getting hurt by love...at least I know I can love,,and feel...
OK I better stop I can go on and on about love....I love being in love..lol

omg @ bogo.your addicted......the woman i have asked about the shoes thing all say the same thing.........wearing nice slacks with bad shoes..or the wrong shoes.is like wearing a clean suit with dirty underwear......if you dont complete the ensemble.then you will be judged as someone who does things halfway..makes alot of sense doesn't it........but then again were talking about women......as soon as you think ya got it......WRONG...rule change.............

Shaggy, I think I get it now, guys wearing bad shoes is like nice girls who are dating complete a$$hole jerks and put up with it, it makes no sense and is a visibly apparent mistake which would have you question ones judgment.?.

For me, the type of shoe a guy is wearing isn't nearly as important as how cruddy they are... If we are out quad riding or in the barn, that is one thing but if a guy shows up on a date wearing shoes that are falling apart or completely filthy, it is a turn off... It shows me he doesn't care and I have to wonder what else he doesn't care about when it comes to hygene... Believe me, I have my fair share of shoes ranging from flip flops to camo hunting boots to heels to dress boots... I have a pair of shoes for every day of the month if ya count them up, but you would never catch me wearing my dog shit shoes ( the shoes I wear out to feed the critters every day) on a date.

i only have 16 pairs of shoes. i only wear my vans or flip flops.
the rest are just sitting there. poor little shoes...all alone. no toes to keep them company. 
i never judged anybody by their shoes. i may think it strange that a man would wear neon pink socks with black sandals. i guess maybe he thought they lookeded good together. that'd be none of my business.

i dont judge men according to their shoes cos their fashion taste is not that important when a man is interesting, maybe one just doesnt care about he looks and u just have to work on him later on when he is urs :D
i wud rather go for a man who is smart n interesting but wearin not fashionable shoes than a man who looks like from the magazines but is shallow
(i know i know there can be a man who is wearin not fashionable shoes n is shallow and a fashionable man who is very interesting too i talked bout extremes to show what i like most ;) )

okay, this is too funny. I work with a lot of young people of both genders and they are so into shoes. I just wear one of the three pair I own that are comfortable. It's unfortunate, but you are judged in the first three seconds by your appearance. But I also judge ,; I hate to even say that word but it's true, by how you sound when you open your mouth to speak. If you're an obvious illiterate, I'm gone. If you sound like you might have a brain, I'm willing to explore the possibilities. You, sir, obviously have a brain. Good luck in your endeavors.

I want my free shoes NOW! Speaking of shoes, I have a bunch! Equal to 30 something pairs?  Mostly flip-flops, I love my flops. Bogo is the reason why I have so many.. 
I don't judge by the shoes, I judge by the legs It's in one of my posts you read...Kidding about the legs you know. I try not to judge, but appearance is important. If he cleans nice, that's all it matters!
