I took my shower with you today, my love, if only in my mind. The red bottle of Old Spice High Endurance body wash was still there on the corner of the tub as if waiting for you...as was I. The steady stream of warm water was beating down on my body, hair, face; I wanted to drown away the tears that were falling from my eyes and let the flow wash away the sorrow of your absence. But the tears only mingled with the warm water, and the salty rivelets meandered down my skin until they reached my painted toes.
So I snapped open the blue cap on that red bottle and I inhaled your scent; that oh-so-sexy scent of you fresh from a shower. I enveloped myself with the satiny blue liquid, slowly smoothing it over my body as if to feel you surrounding me as I closed my eyes to envision you...to hear you. I imagined your hands on me, gentle yet strong. I pictured your beautiful eyes looking at me and we smiled. Every memory of you comes back to me. Slowly, the tears subsided and were rinsed off along with the Old Spice. I turned off the faucets, toweled off the moisture and stepped out of the shower; your scent lingering on me while I wrapped my hair. As I put on my blue silk robe, I sigh deeply and think to myself, "High Endurance...yes...it is a definite requirement for our love."
