Before Thanksgiving, Santa Dollars™ began showing up in the local grocery stores for around $1.50 including a gift card. Now, it's reported they are nearing $3.00.
It's a 'real' dollar bill (legal tender) with a Santa Claus in place of Washington and their intent is to raise money for charity.

I searched Yahoo and found a few places (including eBay) selling these bills as gifts and possibly collectors items.
Here's one link right to the Santa Dollars website.

I found a photo:

on >> THIS << website.

Certainly it's an easy gift for kids young and old.

I'd be wary of eBay. Usually, the shipping and handling exceeds the cost of the merchandise.

I gave a few of those for a gift, a few years back.
I was in Wash. DC last year and bought one that had Hillary on it. I believe it was a $3.00 bill. The saying was, something like: as queer as a three dollar bill

i meant to sell. when i sell on ebay, i don't charge a lot for shipping. pretty close to what it costs me to ship, in fact.

Mojo... you're the exception.

Everything I sold on eBay was a fair price for freight too.

I bought a Motorola earphone for my cellular: $1
Shipping and handling: $11

Yeah, around here they are $29 but, it's just so amazing how they 'play ya' on eBay.

Speaking of one dollar bills...I have one autographed by Mel Tillis...anyone interested? All it will cost you is a dollar and a self addressed stamped envelope!! Funny how I can't make myself spend it yet I'm no longer sentimental over it either. Thought maybe someone out there might like to have it.

I still have the $2 bill with Santa on it that my son received about 15 years ago. It's a mint condition 1976 that our local Hy-Vee was selling.
