........Get this. Twice in the last two weeks I was almost taken out....I mean taken out....by an elderly driver....get this...at the same f%#ckin intersection!! ........The first time I was in the left turn lane waiting along with a dozen other sitting ducks when an elderly man coming from the opposite direction at about 40 launches his jallopy over the median barely missing me and hitting a carload of ladies behind me practically head on. Close, but no banana. I took it as a warning that my time could come any minute and I should be alert and grateful for what I have. .......Then today, I'm approaching the same intersection from the causeway from Miami Beach. Some old fart in big black glasses comes right over into my lane and almost shoves me into the rail. I lean on the Jeep horn, which is a truck horn, and the decrepid old bastard never even acknowledges me, he speeds up! ....Here comes the hard part. As we top the hill and start down toward US1 (the same intersection, mind you) he begins weaving from lane to lane and accelerating directly toward the line of sitting freekin ducks waiting to make the turn onto US1. I watched in absolute horror as he plowed into the line of cars at a full 60 mph..... .....It's an hour since I spoke to police on the 911 line. I'm waiting for the call for my statement. I didn't stay there because I was heading home from a long day at work and didn't need the aggravation of a 2 hour accident scene when I still have to work again tonight 2 counties away. .....I stayed long enough to determine the old guy was probably dead and may have been from minute one. There where several other seriously hurt people who I advised not to move as I called 911. The Fire-Rescue is about 2 blocks away and anticipating the traffic clusterf#%k on a friday in Miami, I split. ......Somebody needs to test these elderly people more often to check for driving skills. Lives are being ruined for no good reason cos these dustbags can't drive. It was almost me.........

In England, when a person reaches 70 years old, their licence has to be applied for again, and only issued for 1 year at a time. If the person is found with points for bad driving on the licence, it is reviewed as to whether the licence is given back at all.

I actually watch an elderly lady waiting on an exit ramp. Just waiting. I asked myself what in the heck is she waiting for? She waited until a car was approaching, Pulled out in front of him, and started laughing. He laid on his brakes cussing all the way.

Its just not the elderly who cant drive...I was backing out of a parking spot and some young dumb person came flying into a parking lot today and almost took off my bumper and she had the nerve to get mad at me...so I gave her an early Christmas present .
