He was the first real stuntman in my oppinion. I met him in 1974 and worked on his crew for a weekend. Pretty crazy guy. At the show I worked he was showing off his new jet powered trike, that thing shot flames for half a block and scared the crap out of the rodeo stock in the next field over. The bulls and horses were so freaked out they had to cancel the following Saturday nights rodeo. Whats a matter cowboy, don't want to ride that bull thats foaming at the mouth?
What would Evel have done? Yup...jump on that thing and hang on....then..

Thanks for posting.
As a kid, very few things would keep me indoors on a Saturday. This guy jumping over a bunch of buses on Wide World of Sports was one of them. I'm bummed..

The irony is that he died of natural causes. I just got done reading about him in a new book that was just sent to me. *sigh* And after what I just read, he's definately having a good time at the Lord's side.

On of the original X-gamers,,,,before there were X-games. He was a master of "Media Manipulation", marketing, and (this will get you) physics.
I still have my Evel lunch box somewhere in the barn at my dad's house. Time to dust it off.
