Premieres tonight, 9pm.

Basically, it's a futuristic takeoff from the classic 1950's movie The Wizard Of Oz.
According to the official SciFi channel 'Tin Man' website http://www.scifi.com/tinman/ "It's boldly reimagined for the new millennium with a darkly menacing world populated by wicked sisters, cowardly psychics, brain-drained inventors and a menagerie of other fantastical inhabitants."

The entire website appears to run in Shockwave with high resolution graphics. There are video teasers and a few interesting links on the official website. If you have DSL, broadband and you like Science Fiction, it's worth checking out this website. Hopefully, the series will have good special effects.

Cast:
DG - Zooey Deschanel
TIN MAN - Neal McDonough
GLITCH - Alan Cumming
RAW - Raoul Trujillo
AZKADELLIA - Kathleen Robertson

Probably the last SciFi miniseries I watched was Stargate. I loved the movie and quickly lost interest with the weekly show. I'm hoping Tin Man holds my attention way beyond the premiere.

Umm, actually, it was 1939, it's only competition for an oscar was Gone with the Wind.

you're right.

I must have been thinking of the 1951 SciFi classic, The Day the Earth Stood Still.
