I came home and the garage door was up. (strange I thought for someone who has a serious case of OCD , that I would be the one to do this) I got out of the jeep and went into the basement where two twenty pound handweights lay in the middle of the room. This was really becoming odd and I was getting scared and I held on really tight to my grocery bag and proceeded up the next level. On the kitchen table was a half eaten bowl of cheerios. On the coffee table was a full glass of coke and a baseball hat. The tv was loudly on ESPN. The house had an aroma of overused polo. I passed the bathroom and the door opened up. My son sheepishly looked at me and said " Hi mom I just got home".....and then........I wake up.....I have been having this recurring dream for two nights. Maybe its a divine powers way of freeing me from the nightmares I live during the day. I have not heard from my son since early fall and its killing me. I have made calls to people I thought could help but ...nothing. James Taylor sings a song "sleep come free me" and I understand that song so well........James call your mom......please........peace

Strange as this may be as I was pouring some hot tea to sit back and relax....long day, something powerful came over me, thoughts of my Son. As I sipped my tea...seemed like maybe 10 minutes passed. When My cell rings....Hi MOM.....I will be back in the States by December 9th! Don't have much time left on my calling card.
Love ya.........click. As brief as it was...

Oh my God........ James!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Call your mom!
Since I do not know you and don't always read the blogs. This is heartbreaking....... are you saying you don't know if he is well or what?
We will 'will' him to call you! I am sorry that you have such pain of not knowing or hearing about or from him.

Perhaps he did, through this dream? Or your concerns are getting the better of you.
Either way, will hold good thoughts that you hear something - preferably directly from him that he's ok - soon.

I think Sci's right... you're in his thoughts. It can't be easy for you though, my heart goes out to you. Boys are notoriously bad at keeping in touch and you know how men in general can only concentrate on one thing at a time. I'm sure he's just having such a good time that by the time he thinks about getting in touch it's probably too late to call. It's not the easiest thing in the world to do but I find "letting go" of something generally brings it back to me. Perhaps a visualisation in meditation might help. He'll be in touch soon I'm sure.

Patch---sorry, the new name hasn't clicked into my brain yet---there is so much to learn about once these young people get overseas. It's mind-boggling to think about all of the adjustments required of ones who were so recently children. I'm sure that he's thinking about you and learning 'the ropes', one of which is how and where to go to connect with home.
James, please call your Mom! (the Universe must be filled with echoes of the MDers saying these words---he will hear it :-)

Just keep telling yourself that no news is good news and bad news travels fast. It may be corny but there is a lot of truth in it.
