A short time ago I heard the locking brakes of a semi truck and heard the tremendous slam which jarred the earth below my feet. I was about 500 feet away but I could see that a semi truck had crashed into a vehicle. I knew it was bad. I now know that at least one person is dead and another, when I left about an hour ago was still trapped in the vehicle. I can not tell you what type of vehicle it was, so badly was it damaged The semi truck was nearly new and it, too was terribly damaged. Lives and families were impacted forever in an instant and I have been in prayer since I heard and felt the boom. Please pray too. This event occured in front of the Wal Mart store in Jane, Missouri somewhere around 10:45 PM. I think it was a light brown SUV which had turned left headed towards Wal Mart in front of the northbound semi truck. I have seen many accidents in my lifetime but never one so tragic. The event has left me sad, shaken and ultimately introspective.

I am sorry that you had to experience this. It just shows that life is so fragile and that we are but dust in the wind.

i can so relate to you, my friend. one time in tucson, my mom and i were driving down a road when a vehicle in the left lane all of a sudden made a right hand turn onto another street causing a small station wagon to swerve and miss it. the wagon hit the median, flew in the air and landed upside down on another small car.
the car that caused the accident tried to drive away, but several cars blocked it's path so it couldn't. there were quite a few ambulances and police.
and the reason? the driver, who was elderly, was late for a doc appt. stupidity on the road.
prayers with those in the accident and with you my friend.

i commute thirty miles each way to work every day....from my one horse town i chose to live in to the capital city......with all the subdivisions being put in all around me....the traffic is almost unbearable.....its suppose to snow on wednesday.....just gonna make the drive more dangerous.....nothing i can do about it...i have to go where the jobs are.....all i can do is slow down for the weather and try and get out of anybodys way when they start to slide because of stupidy.....thats why i surround myself with a bigger car.....to hope to survive the drive to and from work each day...seems kind of nuts dont it....cookie

Prayers are offered for all. In times like this I am amazed how much we truly are and can feel our connection to our fellowman. I pray for the families and friends suffering loss, those who will carry the tragedy in their hearts, and a prayer for whom ever may feel "at fault" that they may feel God's presense with them.
