After my first blog "the first tears in 2 years" I was feeling really down and everyones comments really uplifted me about unleashing the tears that had been held in for far to long. The whole situation that cuased It ended up being a blessing in disguise. The last 2 nights i just have not wanted to party. Instead Ive stayed sober and helped others to get home and keep my battle buddies out of trouble.I also have worked on some really expressive artwork reflecting my thoughts and emotions. So i thank all those who responded with your words and stories of encouragement.

Thank you for sharing your feelings with us. I am glad to know that you are serving your country with such a "conscience" about you.

Sometimes, drinking just isn't the answer to every situation. Sometimes, staying sober is the best thing to do.

God Bless you my grandson is in Basic Training as we type. Soldiers and human beings like you make me proud.

Merry Christmas sir!!!

I encourage you to continue on this road for it will lead to the truths of life, which are Love, Peace and Joy. (Mat. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.
Luke 17:20 & 21 ….The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! Behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Romans 14:17 & 18 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.)

To begin with, I want to thank you for being an American soldier, for giving your time to protect our country!

I can see by your words, that your parents taught you good morals. I hate seeing people so selfish for fun, that they put their children in danger. With drinking, comes responsiblity. I can see, you have your buddies backs in so many ways. In the years to come, they will understand what a wonderful friend you are to them.

Tears cleanse the soul, absolutely nothing wrong with it. It broke my heart to read your pain, but now you see more clearly.

You are an awesome man... You are dealing with many emotions... especially that far away from family at xmas. Great for you to shed tears... I know... I was a wife in the military... They say the military wife is also in the military... and is soooo true.. The military wife deals with the same hard times as all the troops... I back you guys 100% for what your boss puts you through... My daughter was in Irap for some time.... Served her time and got out... with the GI bill and going to college full time...
Kudos for you and all your buddies...
