Climbing on a mountain
Saying nothing, we take in the view
Just you and me and the 10,000 things
Running through my mind
The altitude's thin air
Causes a rush in my head
Increasing my awareness of the world
Both now, and from the past
Song lines from ancient cultures
Run rhythms across my tongue
Wisdom handed down through generations
long since gone
