It's undoubtedly one of the slowest, most boring blog nights I've seen in quite a while. Perhaps everyone is off busy with last minute shopping, wrapping gifts, cooking...or maybe they are out having fun at Christmas PARTIES!
Me...I am here at home...SICK! Yes, that is correct...I am SICK, SICK, SICK!!!!!!!!!  I started coming down with this awful cold this past weekend. A little dry cough here & there...then I woke up with a terrible sore throat & each day since then has been yet another bigger symptom.
Yeah, I know take 2 aspirin (acetaminophen, in my case) and call in the morning.  I went to the store today & purchased some cold medicine. My symptoms cover the gamut....stopped up nose, runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, chest congestion, cough, feel like shit. So I got stuff to cover all the bases & guess what?....  I STILL feel like shit! I get home, the directions read for adults/children over twelve to take 1 or 2 softgels every 4 hours. Okay,  hmmmmm....well, I dunno, so I take one. NOTHING. A couple hours later, I take a second one. Now almost 4 hours later, still NOTHING. In a few minutes, it will be 10o'clock here. I am gonna take another dose of everything & hit the sack! 
In the mean time, I hope you all are having a wonderful evening. Matter of fact, I hope you have an even greater weekend. And while I am passing out wishes, my biggest wish of all is that I get over this damn cold in time to ENJOY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

Well I just finished up in the kitchen so I'm online now. I was making up some dessert tins to give out with my homemade fudge.........yummmmmmmmmmmm!!!!
Don't feel so bad so many people I know are sick right now
Maybe if I send ya some fudge you'll get better

Hope you feel better soon. I'm stuck at home too but not sick. Looks like everybody else ran off and left us tonight.

sorry you're sick... rub your chest, back and behind your ears with Vicks vapor rub... works real good.
Hope you get better soon...... drink plenty of fluids and get some sleep... you're not missing much here!

get well soon liss...i always buy the generic nyquil man that knocks me right out and works for me but hope you get well soon plenty of rest and drink tea with honey that helps as well...also herd on the news honey helps with soar throats ans coughs

A stiff shot of Crown Royal and vicks vapor rub on the soles of your feet....make sure you put socks on after ~it really helps!

What you need is a whiskey and soda... or some really good brandy...
Too much will make you feel worse - just a shot glass full to help you sleep...
... umm... better cool it with the cold remedies first, though...

Oh I am sorry you are sick, you have company, others on MD are home sick also.
Now I know you had a better night than I did, even sick with a bad cold. Cause.............
I had a hot date (right) with a Dell Online Tech from 8 PM till Midnight... all over some stupid drivers and utilities for my printer/scanner and never ever got a picture before our date. lol.
Talk about an exciting night....... if you believe that one, I got some swamp land here in Florida to sell you.
Next in my way of excitement is to see if my fax will work..... want to take bets on it working?
Seriously though.... I hope, no I insist (typical Aries) that you feel better by Sunday morning!!!!
