First off, I'd like to apologise to anyone I offend. I understand there are those of you who feel differently, including two people that are very dear to me.
Ever since Chris Benoit murdered his child and his wife in June, I can't stop myself from hating the motherf***ing child killing bastard.
I hope he burns in hell for all eternity. Seriously, he is a cold blooded, nasty murderer, and I'm sorry, but anything he accomplished, did, or was before he took the life of two innocents does NOT matter. It does not matter that he loved his children. It does not matter that he was "one of the best technical wrestlers of our time" (and I'm sorry, but the title of "best technical wrestler of our time" goes to "The Excellence of Execution"). It does not matter that he was a good friend to everyone in his second family.
All that matters is that he killed two innocent people. And what pisses me off the f***ing most is a few things. First of all, there are f***ing people out there that try to use the excuse that he "snapped". Shut up. Seriously, I have snapped more than five times in my short life and have never even thought about laying my hands on anyone who I love. Having psychological problems is no excuse for killing an innocent child.
Secondly, I have a major problem with anyone who wishes Chris Benoit's soul to rest in peace. There is no reason at all for this man's soul to "rest in peace". This man's soul should be tortured for the rest of time, and if he is reincarnated, he should come back as a lowly worm to be stepped on by an upstanding citizen who would never even think of hurting his children. A human being who would kill a child is not a human being, and is far from a man. The farthest thing, in fact, and I am so glad that that being killed himself, because any human being who would lay his hands on a child deserves nothing but the most gruesome death possible.
And in fact, I am annoyed by people who say Chris Benoit changed the wrestling business for the better, or did anything positive for it for that matter. No, actually, Chris Benoit damaged the wrestling business more than any other individual ever could imagine. Chris Benoit, by killing his wife and child, brought the business that he supposedly loved closer to death than any steroid scandal ever could. I can never respect him for that, or admire him for that matter. No technical move, high flying headbutt, or submission hold can ever equal the damage he did by killing two innocent human beings. He is a shame to the wrestling business and to humankind as a whole.
No, I don't apologise for my opinion. However, I do apologise if any of you are offended by my opinion or the bluntness with which I have expressed it. You have every right to feel that way. But, do you want to know where it comes from? I was brutalised as a child, and I believe that my attacker deserves nothing but death. If he ever, and I mean ever, tried to use the excuse that he "snapped", or had psychological problems, or missed his dead partner and friend, as an excuse for raping and brutalising and ultimately ruining the life of a child into her 20s, I would find him and spit in his face. I remember Joseph, and guess what? He was a "nice guy", too. He was friendly, funny, and if I was a teenage girl, I probably would've been friends with him. He introduced me to the wrestling business. But that doesn't matter, does it? He still hurt me and what he did to me affects me to this day. The difference between Michael and Nancy Benoit and I is that I am alive to tell the tale, and they are not....

thank you for your blog! i think you're absolutely right. children are a precious gem and deserve to have the best life they can. killing them, hurting them physically, emotionally and/or mentally is cause for the person that did it to face a crowd of perverted people and have done to them what they did to others.
i didn't ever think chris benoit should rest in peace. i don't think any one who hurts a child should.
i hope you're getting help to overcome the scars and isms that have been forced upon you.

First....here is a kudo for you....There is way too many people (and I am using this term very loosly here) out there that take it upon themselves to mentally and physically harm children....who torture them....abuse them....and even kill them......then, if and when they are discovered and held accountable for the atrocities they inflicted....the punishment is mild compared to the harm they dealt.....if they are sentenced to death for the taking of an innocent's life, we are left to feed and house them years and years before they might be humanely put to sleep......this is an insult to the memory of the children they destroy.....bring back the electric chair, firing squad and hanging.....and swift justice, death within 30 days of sentencing....forget all the appeals!
These maggots need to be exterminated.

From the first time I saw Chris Benoit on TV back in '94... until now and forever ... I have the most respect for him because of the sacrifice and pain that he put his body through all the years just to take care of those he did love. I never knew Chris Benoit "the man" not the character ... so I can't pass judgment on him.

Doing those things to a child is the worst thing anyone can do. There is no excuse
for murder anyway. No matter who it is. A coward does those things.

I remember seeing videos of this guy doing some kind of flying head-butt. It had to scramble his brain doing that. And wasn't there steriod use as well ? I agree though, whatever was bothering him he shouldn't have taken it out on innocents. WWF really needs some sort of investigation. There's been a of strange goings on.

If it is any consolation, he will not "rest in peace". He suffers now, knowing the truth - the whole truth that lies beyond mortal comprehension. And he will surely suffer in his next incarnation. All the more sad because - as is the case for the vast majority of people - it is likely he will have no clue why he suffers.
Think about that the next time you wonder why "bad things happen to good people". Balance will be found.

We as humans, have no right to judge another human. You don't know what this man or anyone else goes through, unless you walk a mile in their shoes. You are not supposed to hate anyone, you can hate the sin, but you are to love the person. For we war not against flesh and blood, but against powers and principalities. How ever we judge others, we will be judged the same way. When we judge them, we pick up their sins. God bless you all, hope this has enlightened some of you (let God's lite shine, on the darkness).

Wow, Sciur. I totally and completely agree with you. That is the same way I 'see' things. Yes, he WILL suffer and not know as long as he is in a body. He will have to 'balance'.
I don't think you will be that far off, LGQ. I think he WILL pick a low and suffering incarnation to balance the karma. But what will YOU do with all of that hate? It can't hurt him. But it can hurt you.

I don't disagree that what happened was a tragedy. But, Benoit's autopsy did reveal he suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE)- most likely caused by years of repeated head trauma.
The most common symptoms of CTE are depression, cognitive impairment and dementia. In the months following the double murder-suicide, many notable experts have stated that Benoit's actions were most likely caused by his severe CTE.
As I said, noone will disagree that it was a tradedy. But, none of us knew Benoit as a person, we knew the character he played on TV. To state that he he is a "cold blooded, nasty murderer," makes a strong statement about his character as a human being- which, honestly, none of us can attest to that.
I will trust the statements by his closest friends which state that they were shocked by his actions because they had known him as a gentle person. I would presume that the people who have been around him for years have a pretty decent read on his personality.
Based on that, the only opinion I can form is that Benoit- the person, not the character- was a good guy. Unfortunately, after many years in the business, he suffered from serious brain damage. Tragically, that lead to the event for which he will most likely forever be remembered.
