Some time last year, I started attaching e-mails sent by spammers as shout-outs to their own profiles. I've blogged about it before... and it amazed me that some actually approved my shout-out.

The important thing is I REPORTED ALL OF THESE PROFILES and when I checked back, they were all canceled. ALL OF THEM.

Tonight, I cleaned out my list... more than 288 reported profiles that MD staff closed for abuse in 2007. Yes, it's true, more than 288.

This is the start of a new year. Again I thank the staff at Matchdoctor for being so prompt to close the accounts of spammers.

Remember, if you receive spam or messages from a member you suspect being fraud, turn them over to MD. Two clicks and it's done.

	The two clicks always work for me. I haven't noticed whether the accounts have disappeared or not but the same spammers don't appear to bother me more than once. That is O.K. by me.

	Oh my… got to love the scammers… I used to mess with them… I had one going thinking he was getting somewhere, then asked for money before they did… He asked anyway… my response was “What?” I would just laugh.. Then I got board and now just report and delete them… Sad thing is, you know they have to really be scamming some people or they wouldn’t’ keep doing it… Makes ya think… Huh?

	I remember that blog, it was excellent. The ironic thing is they are stupid enough to allow this on their profile, yet they are smart enough to trick some out of money. Twisted. ...Kudo's.

When I first noticed this blog, I was thinking to myself "Gee, those letters look familiar. It is something I should know." After reading your comment, the light came on! I think that sitting too many hours at this dumb machine really numbs the brain! I'm sorry but I just couldn't resist!

	lol, and those were only the 288 who contacted you. and for the thousands that get past our 'barriers' every year (and are subsequently cancelled as soon as they're reported), there are tens of thousands that are caught and locked out even before they appear here. i have to agree that our office staff does a magnificent job trying to keep these types under control. (i almost choked on my tea the first time i saw a shout out like that ) thanks for the 'psa' and appreciation. i'm passing this along to our office crew.
