I wanted to let you know about a scam that I found out about from a friend here. They contact single women, particularly outside the US, in need of someone for childcare/nanny for a single father in the UK or wherever. They have fake agencies, emails, phone numbers etc to give the appearance that they are legitimate. No matter your skills etc, you will be accepted, and then the agency ask for you to wire them a fee to get everything handled! this IS a SCAM! If you get anything like this REPORT THEM! Please pass this along to your friends, they are trying to target women in the US with this scam now!
On a lighter note of scammers, this has got to be the dumbest one I've ever encountered! I got a message here from them, and when I looked at the profile it was from a 42 year old woman, but when I started reading the profile it said i,m a single man from u.s but now in ghana looking for a serious woman to marry A 5 foot 285lb man!
Be aware, and be safe!

Oh, I get all kinds..... similar, but they always say they are in love with me... don't read profile, I don't think they are given the choice or chance to read the profiles in the first place... I imagine it is a sweat shop type of room and they just type.
I would not have the time to tell all..... just report them and don't give them help to make the scams better.

In the Middle East this is not a Scam but used to lure women into the sex trade. Not just for Nannies but many other types of work. They target women in the countries where work is hard to find even in Eastern Europe, Africa and many island people. On arrival they take your passport and then they are stuck....

Good point yashaenka! It works the same everywhere!
We are so used to dealing with the Nigerian/Russian scammers that are easy to spot, that we somehow forget what a big business this is! There are people that go to great expense to set up what seem to be legitimate businesses in order for these scams to work!
The best way to find out is to contact the Embassy of whatever country they are from, or wanting you to go!
