What part of our brain function is it that tells us that a holding pattern is better than a risk at times? Why are some of us (me included) so scared to upset our little worlds that we’ve built… even if the change might bring us happiness and good fortune… or at the very least… a change of pace. Change is good, right? Inevitable even… however there is something that holds some of the population back from embracing change. What is the very worse that could happen? We adapt as a species, right? I know some of my issues… I need security more than adventure as that is just how I’m built. That need, however inhibits me from going further into life. It doesn’t allow me to flourish and expand my horizons. I’m sure that there has been many a missed opportunity in my life due to my need to maintain my life as it is. Change isn’t automatically bad… it’s just automatically different and I panic at ‘different’. Different means stepping out of my comfort zone and facing the devils I don’t know. Different means my self imposed schedule is thrown out of whack and I have to learn to react differently in order to adjust. I hate being so afraid to embrace… even bring on change. I feel like I’m not living to the fullest… just the safest.

Change can be a hard thing to take on in a lot of instances. Once you have a set a routine, anything that comes into that and 'upsets' said routine can appear to be overwhelming. We have to take a step back and examine these changes and try to see what they are going to do for us. Certain changes, while they appear to be bad or unsettling at first, may in fact be very good in the long run once we examine them from different angles. Everything will be good in the end.

I'm quite content with the way things are so I see no reason to change a thing.

Change happens every milli-second... like you wrote of the fear, I am now writing of the inevitable!

this therefore is change, you have to embrace to live ~ to love ~ change is natural, nothing stops changing!

Not even you!

Change does happen quite frequenty...but she is talking about the changes we have a choice in. To embrace it or refuse it. So many choices. Im not afraid of change but sometimes its inconvient for a time...but usually the rewards r so worth it.
