Here in Kansas, smack-dab in the middle of Tornado Alley, I don't think a spring storm season goes by that we do not experience severe storms with winds in excess of 60-70 miles per hour. Since I live in a very, very small town with no weather station of its own, I have no official reports on the winds we had here last night. But I can report that it blew out a 4 x 2-1/2 foot window from my bedroom. Thankfully it sucked it OUT. There are hand-sized pieces of glass almost 30 feet away from the house. I am also thankful I was in another room when it burst.
Can't get to Independence today to get any glass, so I guess I'd better go cut some plywood, which, once again, thankfully I have on hand.

I have to amend that, now that it's daylight (I also had no power last night, and messing around with broken glass with a flashlight didn't seem the wisest course of action when I could just close off the room), I got out the tape and the pane is 50 x 42 inches.

And people in AZ think they are having a wind storm when it hits 10 mph.....lol You got the winds and I woke up with a fresh coat of snow. Don't you just love this Kansas weather?
