I believe people do not give themselves enough credit for what they see as their mundane, day to day existence; the guy who goes to work knowing that the check he brings home might, just might cover the bills if no one gets sick, has a fender bender. While he is worrying his children are going to school and although it is public education may come out as our countries next leader, professor, nurse, doctor, inventor, etc. That makes a difference! To think that one can only make a difference by rattling cages, saber waving, demonizing those around them to simply build their otherwise lacking sense of importance only tells me, "Are you friggin kidding? Do you actually think that ranting, giving no resource "facts", blustering about shit you have no knowledge of, not recognizing how many out there have sons and daughters that fight for this country while others self-righteously sit on a soap box and dane to tell us how bad this country is, are you daft?" When my sons raised their right hands and swore to die for this country, that makes a difference, when my son raised his right hand last week and became a police officer, that makes a difference, when mom and dad watch Sally's piano recital not truly knowing or caring right then that she may become a part of the Philadelphia Symphony someday because they made her practice, that makes a difference, when countries say they hate the US, of course until they need us, then we're the greatest thing since sliced bread, so we go and put our countries finest on the front, that makes a difference. Seriously, and with no mockery of the great bloggers on this site, do we for one moment think that posting a blog to a reader base of people who are, per their membership, just looking to meet people, going to insite people to toss the tea, drink the Koolaide and say, "Oh crap, now I get it, if it wasn't for that intoxicating blog I would have wondered through this wilderness of indifference forever", Pleeeeaaaase!
The above was a complete and total rant, intended to, oh yes, rant. If you made it this far, thanks.

The real heroes in life are but the people that get up each day to care for their own flock, called family. The mothers and fathers who put their families before themselves just doing the Ordinary things in life and what they must to provide a better life for their children.
Making a difference in life starts and ends with family, the roots we each grow from, without which we become rootless and have less meaning to our lives. Family life has embedded within it, it's own type of warfare, a war of the wills if you will.

There are talkers, and do-ers. Talkers make the most noise, get the most attention..... while the quiet ones go out and get the job DONE.
