So Thursday night, the "reliable" weather forecaster in my area announced we would have a "winter storm" come through the area Saturday, dumping from 6-12" of snow on us here in my section of eastern NC.
Mind you, in my area, it is rare for us to even get a dusting of snow anymore. So expecting 6" was a BIG DEAL. Well, by Friday evening, the forecast was adjusted and we were told to look for 1-3" possibly up to 4" of snow and that we could expect the snowfall to begin around the noon hour.
Many of us were soooo excited! We all made plans to hunker down at home & watch the beautiful winter scene unfold before us. My agenda was to have a nice breakfast, then put together a big pot of spaghetti sauce to simmer throughout the day.
When I got up this morning, we had rain. That was expected. With the noon hour coming & passing, we still had rain. Nightfall came & the rain continued. Not the first flurry of snow was seen. I'd made my sauce, cooked my pasta & enjoyed my dinner. The entire day had gone by & no snow.
My disappointment in the lack of winter precip turned into dissatisfaction in my tummy. The spaghetti sauce was delicious, but something seemed lacking. I pondered. And at approximately 8 p.m. it started snowing. A very fine mist of a snow, but it's snowing. It's so dark out here in the country, I can barely see it.
So I went to the kitchen, whipped up some brownie mix....unwrapped some kisses with almonds & melted them on top & YUMMMMMMMMM....now I am happy! Well, my tummy is sassified...OMG...the warm brownie with the soft luscious melted chocolate on top....mmmmmmm.
So much for the disappointment...now back to the back porch to check out the snow fall again. Have a great remainder of the weekend, good people and BLOG ON!!!!!!

THAT'S IT! All this talk about brownies - I've got to make some!! Either that or have my granddaughter make her famous ones. She breaks up peanut butter cups on top of the brownies in addition to the chocolate. Then you get this huge sugar rush..... Our snow is coming tomorrow night!!
