Okay so everyones done it once or twice or perhaps a few times... They've made the dreaded drunk dial! You've been out all night drinking with the guys or girls and you get home feeling a lil lonely and call up someone of the opposite sex. But my thougths are.. How truthful are the things the persons saying thats been drinking?? My friends believe that Alcohol is a truth serum or liquid courage..? Do you think its possiable the person on the phone is really telling you what he or she feels or is just drunk talking?

Since I don't drink alcohol I've never made this call. However, I would think it depends upon WHO is making the call. If they are generally a lier, than the call is probably more about trying to get what they want, than the truth.

If you have had a drink and send a text message from your cell, save it to read the next day.

I personally feel drunk talk is true!
Honest, I don't drink anymore (it has been years).
I had a younger male roommate, he was/is? a weekend warrior - I swear he had made like 4 drunk calls in the time we shared rent... he made them to his ex., and yes he really loved her!

I've never been drunk once in my life so I couldn't tell you, but I would tend not to believe a drunk.

Drunk talk is selfish, because alcohol takes away your inhibitions. So it is about a person reaching out for what they really want, right then. It is no guarantee that it is what they'll want the next day.
You have to consider the person, if you know them, and how likely they are to say things they don't mean to get where they want to go, to begin with; and their fears, etc.
If you and your boyfriend are constantly fighting, for instance, and then he goes off, gets drunk, and calls to tell you that he loves you then it could mean he loves you but it very likely means he is afraid of changing his life and he knows you love him.

someone told me once women drink to get in touch with their reasoning brain, or logic, and men to get in touch with their feelings.....
I quit drinking before they invented the phone.....

Drunk talk is true at the time of the call but usually not the next day. Like the song (The girls get perttier at closeing time)

An idividual will say that drinking makes them overcome their inhibitions , but a police officer will tell you that it impairs your judgement!

my experiences are, that when I drink something alcoholic, my tongue gets loose and I can talk about things I would never talk about without alcohol. And I also believe that alcohol is a truth serum for somebody.
