Today I thought I had the whole day to get a move on yard work or house work but at 10 minutes to 1, a friend called to ask why I wasn't up at the bunco party...
SHEEESH, I'd forgotten all about saying I'd go, A quick brush of my hair, some lipstick and out the door.
Bunco was FUN! About 100 of my friends and neighbors had shown up as a fund raiser for "Sober Grad Night." They were right, the rules took about 30 seconds to learn. Just a fun game. Not to mention I won one of the door prizes and two of the raffle prizes.. A lot of the fun was the ribbing I got from friends for being a prize hog.
After that I just had to spend some time outside so I put the horses out on grass while I got the job of cleaning the barn. That might not sound like much fun to anyone but it was almost thrilling to me that I COULD clean it. After a year of being sick with "something" and then finally finding out it was a bacterial infection that was easy to treat, I'm now back to feeling like I should feel... and that's happy and well.
One thing this last year has really taught me is to enjoy every single day.. because it's a gift.
