The world is a beautiful place. Many great people in the world. Many great places to see. Many great things to do. Many great oppurtunities. Many great challenges. Many great technologies and inventions. We lose all these great things if we end up dead or in jail. And with all these great things come tough times too. We as people have to deal with hardships. Job losses. Death. Crime. Poor health. Money woes. Stress. I could go on and on. The hardest thing about life is being a parent. Humans are born with love. As little children we love everyone. We like to do nice things for people. We are still pure. But then as we grow we get heavily influenced by bad influences. What helps mold children these days. Violent video games. Violent and sexually charged music lyrics. Violent and sexually charged movies. Violence and sex on the internet. Other children. The list goes on. This is where you would hope the parents step in. There are many good parents in this world who only want to see good for their children. There are plenty of parents that are not. The parents who are doing a good job are the ones who are combating these bad influences well. But the parents who are not doing there job well are contributing to the demise of their children. Many of us as adults become selfious and you can not be a good parent and selfious. If you are not up to the task of being a great parent, I suggest you wait. Many of these parents become parents when they weren't trying to become parents. If you have reckless sex before you are ready to be a parent, chances are you will not be a great parent. Not all the time but in some cases. How many single mothers are out there from reckless sex? How many dads never even see their children? How hard must it be to raise a child single handily? A single mother can have the best intentions in the world, but do you think the child is getting the best he/she can with only one parent or is something missing? Chances are the single parent won't always be there and that is where the bad influences come in. It is hard enough to be a 2 parent family these days, can't imagine trying to do it by yourself. Once those bad influences enter a childs mind it is hard to combat it. Not impossible but hard.
Of course this is just my opinion. Anything you read here you must read with a grain of salt. There are good single parents out there. There are good 2 parent families out there. Yet those children of good parents sometimes turn out bad. Life is not perfect. But the children of bad parents are the concern. There are plenty of them. Then when these children grow up and become murderers, gang members, career criminals, dead beat dads, drug addicted and so forth, we as a public scoff at them. Not all, but most children who turn out this way have us to blame. We failed them as adults. We as adults are becoming less and less responsible.
Spend more time with your child. They are the greatest gift you gave this world. If you do not spend time with your children influencing them, just remember tv, music, the internet and other children have no problem influencing them for you. God bless the parents and their role in life.
