~*~ ~*~ Ok, I'm back, you get 2 more wishes ~*~ ~*~

So it's Valentines Day, another day of looooooooove. Of course, celebrating a day like this can be hell for a lot of people and for some, like moi, it's a day to:


GLOAT

Yeah I know, insensitive. I feel bad now. I need to show a little more compassion to those without, to those few that haven't a chance in hell of finding that special someone. It's slowly coming around, I don't kick kittens near as often as I used to and my days of drop kicking puppies ended the day Tunes got a mutt.

So I was sitting here ideating in the recliner of rumination when all of the sudden, esprit d'escalier.

I'm one lucky mthrfker!! I got everything I ever wanted in a woman and I found her amongst the digital detritus most of us have to wade through for YEARS to find anything of value. It didn't take me very long at all, of course, I came away with some pretty nasty stuff on the bottom of my boots, but DAYUM, I scored, BIGTIME!

The rumination continued for a few minutes and I was taken back to the day I realized what I actually needed in a mate. Some of us have lists that specify certain qualities, others just hope to God something comes along that's either blind, deaf or dumb...or a combination of....or all...depending on your case. I had a list that became a very important part of my quest.

1. CLASS
2. Intelligence
3. Humanity
4. Depth
5. Strength of Character

Finding "Class" was the toughest, as unfortunately most (not all) of the women my age lost that years ago with the realization that they're probably gonna die alone, they abdicate and start down the path of denial, ie: dressing inappropriately, drinking too much, abuse of medication, become one with the Baroness of Bitterness and display that unmistakable gait of desperation. PAY ATTENTION TO ME! I DESERVE IT! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU! PLEASE FOR GOD'S SAKE LIKE ME!!.......uhhhhhhh, shyeah.

Intelligence wasn't that hard, look at my friends list....chocked full of intelligence AND class....that's a hint for you guys that actually have something going for you, you're out there. They're there, all you have to do is...well, you either have it or you don't. The women on --> my <-- friends list aren't stupid, good luck.

Humanity was tough, finding someone that actually cared about life and wasn't so wound up in themselves was fkn rough. A lot of people will blow smoke up your ass when it comes to humanity, but it's another thing to actually do it on a daily basis. She has compassion for all living things, she hurts when faced with people or animals that often cannot take care of themselves and considers it her duty to do what she can for those that can't, regardless of species.

Depth; of the maybe 10 people I spoke with initially, only 3 had it...the rest were lost in a fog, heading for icebergs in a boat that I didn't want to travel on. I gotta tell ya, a lot of hull scraping going on.....mmmm hmmmm.

Strength of Character....tough one cowpokes. I've seen a lot of skeezers out there in my travels and they tend to travel in packs. Waffling Wilma's...I'm not a fan of those types and if you are, more to ya. The amount of hypocrisy some display in everyday life is frightening. I needed someone with character, that doesn't lie and stands by her beliefs, she owns what she says and has no need to apologize when standing up for what she believes in.

And boy did I find her.

Sciurusniger. She's everything I dreamed of and hoped for. She's the epitome of class. She's been attacked, called a Nazi (her family barely escaped the Holocaust in war-torn Europe during the Second World War), she's been attacked for her work with wildlife, squirrels and for awhile there, a day hardly went by when someone wouldn't attempt to insult her with all sorts of crap about squirrels....and ya know what? She just shook her head and carried on. Too many people are reactionary, they get all butt-hurt and attack...in the most unusual of ways. They don't attack the person, they choose to attack something that's close to the persons heart thinking that they can strike a chord. In most cases they do, but not with her. The only emotion she exhibited was pity. She's like that. She's professional day in and day out, whether it be in front of hundreds giving a speech on animal rehabilitation, or solving problems of threat and vulnerabilities to computer servers worldwide. You can't imagine how proud it makes me feel to have her on my arm.

CLASS folks....that's what its all about for me. You won't find her jumping someone's ass shouting expletives like a drunken dock-worker, you won't find her displaying her wares like a two-bit street whore. She possesses pure unadulterated class teamed with unmatched beauty.

I gotta tell ya.....I'm one very lucky man. Everyday....is Valentines Day here.

God how I love this woman.....
