Life is tough. Many things to worry about. Many things to do. Many problems to overcome. Sometimes just making it through one day can really be a big hassle.
With all the problems that people face, wouldn't it be nice to have somewhere or someone to turn too when these problems occur?
Some people turn to family members. Some people turn to friends. Some people turn to a shrink. Some people turn to things that won't really help but they turn to them anyway(drugs and alcohol). In some of these instances, the problems only get worse. Many people have many different avenues in which to find help with their problems. But there are some people who are just lost and can't seem to find any help for their problems.
For me, when life gets tough, I turn to God. I don't turn to God to be my problem solver, I turn to God to be my guidance. Not only do I turn to God for His guidance, I turn to Him for everything. Many people lose faith in God because when they have a problem they want instant gratification. I do not believe God does that. What I do believe God does is that when we have a problem, He is the one who can guide you through your problem.
Here is a little Bible Passage I like to read from time to time just to remind me how God is there for me.
The Lords is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.
Psalm 23
