I wake with yearning on my mind
To hear a voice, adore a face
To explore eyes and see behind
The truth of words from cyberspace

I read the words upon the screen
Heart echoing hot sentiment
In vain I look to read between
That hope sees more than what was meant.

The pixels whisper love so dear
In thoughts expressed so ardently.
I long in accents so to hear
Wed strength and sensitivity.

I ache to press soft lips on cheek
Taste every inch of skin so fresh
To be caught up when knees go weak
And feel hot blood engorging flesh.

Is it not God ignited fires,
In wisdom blessed with love and lust?
Psalm's promised grant of heart's desires
To those who wait and in Him trust?

My faith is in God's gift of man
Who'll love and take me for his bride;
I'll trust that joy is wisdom's plan,
And push all baseless fear aside.

And so, I'll act on words I've read
Submit to he, whom I admire
Succumb to lust and love as led
Along the path of heart's desire.
