For those like me
Who have suffered a broken heart
From a love given in misguided trust
Just remember it makes us appreciate
More a true love when it's given to us

Keep in mind if we are to find
A love that will last a lifetime
We must keep open our hearts
To a love that will forever burn
No matter the pain in our past
From our love we've received in return

For fellow romantics who like me refuse to close their hearts
And continue to search, even though they've been hurt from a love in their past
I hope you will never again receive pain for the love you've returned
Instead you will find a love that will for a lifetime last
And forever in your hearts true love and passion will burn
