Ok guys, tell me if a woman has said this to you before, 'you are a great catch and any woman would be lucky to be with you.' And for those of you who have heard that, how many of you noticed that she meant every other woman besides herself? So if you are such a great catch, then why does she not go for you?
Recently I was told this again. I hear it a lot. I hear it so much that I must be the most perfect guy in the world. Funny though, I am always perfect for someone else. The woman who said this to me is a great friend of mine. She mentioned that I have that dreaded nice personality trait. The kiss of death. But if she thinks I am such a great catch, why does she not go for me?
So I wonder, are they just saying it to be nice? To humor me? They actually want you but are too shy? To tease? Just to kill some time? Hmm, makes you wonder. Any way, this is not to rag on you ladies or especially my friend, just a thought of mine I wanted to share for a little humor. For at this pace, I am going to die with the greatest personality ever but alone.

it never fails to amaize me what guys are told now days.....but us being guys.....we are use to it.....thats why god gave us guys sports and fishing and the friendship of other guys to make up for his mistake in making a womans brain function properly......heheheheheh...cookie

Ok, maybe she really likes you but isn't physically attracted to you. I know, for a guy that's a stretch to understand  but it does happen. There are many guys I think are great but I'm just not attracted to them....it happens. 
And try as I might, I don't understand it either but there are men who like me who aren't attracted to me.

Just yeah been there and have done that just ask her if you can be friends with her and go from there. That is what i am doing. We are friends we call and talk to each other and we can lean on each other if one of us has a problem and heck just hanging out and haveing fun should not be a problem

guilty as charged!! I tried I really did for 4 yrs and I just couldn't go on! He was a wonderful man just not for me! and yes we are still friends, we talk I ask advice when I need a man's help and no cookie no benifits!  And you can love someone and not be in love with them!

I was staying out of it, thinking, as Cookie, so nicely pointed out, it's a guy blog. But, I did want to say, Cookie, remember us women are seeing this even if not commenting...... woman's brain function properly......

For at this pace, I am going to die with the greatest personality ever but alone. That is my fear also. Makes me wonder if I should go back to the old days of one night stands (they never talked about my personality  ), at least I wouldn't be alone some nights

The frustration is when it is someone I would like to get to know. I agree with Justsay...wtf? Are you pulling my chain? Please don't say that to me! I would rather think you didn't want me at all.

If I say someone is a great catch I mean it. Sometimes guys or girls can be great, depending on what you are into, and other times they might not be suitable for you but they would make your friend a perfect mate.
