Birth control made easy...eat a taco, drink a coke...get a tetanus shot...
...Corn, sacred in Mexico and Central America as the very staff of life, has been turned into the very end of life. Genetic modification of corn has turned the Mexo American giver of life into the stuff that can end a race - perhaps the human race - by engendering sterility in males who eat it.
Genetically modified corn is used to create high fructose corn syrup, flavors, starches, flours, proteins, sugars and most of the other ingredients which make up our processed foods. The US refuses to allow the labeling of foods which contain genetically modified ingredients (like corn) to be labeled to indicate that fact so we are looking at the possibility of undeclared birth control “foods” rendering whole populations sterile. The US Government, starting with George Herbert Walker Bush, has adopted the policy that genetically modified foods are the same as unmodified ones. The sterility corn is therefore, under this policy, the same as natural corn.
...A small California biotech company, Epicyte, in 2001 announced the development of genetically engineered corn which contained a spermicide which made the semen of men who ate it sterile. At the time Epicyte had a joint venture agreement to spread its technology with DuPont and Syngenta, two of the sponsors of the Svalbard Doomsday Seed Vault. Epicyte was since acquired by a North Carolina biotech company. Astonishing to learn was that Epicyte had developed its spermicidal GMO corn with research funds from the US Department of Agriculture, the same USDA which, despite worldwide opposition, continued to finance the development of Terminator technology, now held by Monsanto.
In the 1990’s the UN’s World Health Organization launched a campaign to vaccinate millions of women in Nicaragua, Mexico and the Philippines between the ages of 15 and 45, allegedly against Tetanus, a sickness arising from such things as stepping on a rusty nail. The vaccine was not given to men or boys, despite the fact they are presumably equally liable to step on rusty nails as women.
Because of that curious anomaly, Comite Pro Vida de Mexico, a Roman Catholic lay organization became suspicious and had vaccine samples tested. The tests revealed that the Tetanus vaccine being spread by the WHO only to women of child-bearing age contained human Chorionic Gonadotrophin or hCG, a natural hormone which when combined with a tetanus toxoid carrier stimulated antibodies rendering a woman incapable of maintaining a pregnancy. None of the women vaccinated were told.
It later came out that the Rockefeller Foundation along with the Rockefeller’s Population Council, the World Bank (home to CGIAR), and the United States’ National Institutes of Health had been involved in a 20-year-long project begun in 1972 to develop the concealed abortion vaccine with a tetanus carrier for WHO. The other day I watched a movie from ohhhh 20 years ago? Do you remember "Red Dawn?" In the movie it's mentioned that China had a population of 1 BILLION people... so in the 20 years, China now has over 5,000,000,000 people. While I don't believe in involuntary sterilization I have major concerns about using up resources to the point that no one can survive.
Right now water is being SUCKED from the Sacramento River & San Joaquin Deltas to be shipped down south to the ever greedy LA basin. End result, the ENTIRE west coast salmon fishing season is in danger of being shut down because the water the salmon need to survive isn't there. Salmon need cold water to spawn. Because so much water is SUCKED off to the south, the salmon aren't going upstream to spawn.
When I was a kid we could go up to the top of Bear Mountain and see the lights of Fresno, Modesto, Stockton, Sacramento and a glow in the distance of San Francisco. With the smog produced by so many people in the Sacramento Valley, you now are lucky to see the lights of Modesto & Stockton, directly below Bear Mountain.

Uh...Meliss...World population is estimated right now to be 6.7 billion. All of Asia in 2005 was under 4 billion, so your 5 billion statistic for China is from....where????
I will go on record as saying that sterilization of any population without knowledge and consent is genocide -- immoral and unconscionable -- no matter what fears we may have of overpopulation and limited resources.

The mention of DuPont doesn't surprise me since they supported the German Nazis with various chemicals during the height of WW2.
I see no mention of Monsanto. They in fact, must have a huge role in this evil doing.
This organization is responsible for much of what this blog suggests.

This small paragraph set off my radar and for me makes the rest of the submission somewhat suspect.
Neonatal (newborn) tetanus is the most common form of tetanus in developing countries. You don't get it in the US from stepping on a "rusty nail" and you certainly don't get the disease from a nail in the Third World. Oxidized iron has nothing to do with it. It is an anaerobic bateria that emits a neurotoxin and is indigenous to the soil in many places in the world. Babies born in the Third World, mostly in huts or houses with dirt floors, come into contact with the contaminated soil and contract the bacteria. It is a horrible and painful death.
Neonatal tetanus is prevented through a three-way technique that is being used in Nepal and Bhutan -- innoculation of pregnant women, providing raised floors for birthing huts, teaching midwives that using animal dung on umbilical stumps is a really bad idea and other good birthing practices. The vaccines given pregnant women are much lower dose TT than the regular tetanus vaccine you might get before you travel.
Prior to the vaccination campaign, nearly 10% of all deaths of Nepalese neonates were caused by neonatal tetanus. That number has plunged dramatically. Furthermore, there have been no increases in the rate of spontaneous abortion, what lay people call miscarriage.

Scientists have created the ultimate GM crop: contraceptive corn. Waiving fields of maize may one day save the world from overpopulation.
The pregnancy prevention plants are the handiwork of the San Diego biotechnology company Epicyte, where researchers have discovered a rare class of human antibodies that attack sperm.
By isolating the genes that regulate the manufacture of these antibodies, and by putting them in corn plants, the company has created tiny horticultural factories that make contraceptives.
"We have a hothouse filled with corn plants that make anti-sperm antibodies," said Epicyte president Mitch Hein.
"We have also created corn plants that make antibodies against the herpes virus, so we should be able to make a plant-based jelly that not only prevents pregnancy but also blocks the spread of sexual disease."
Contraceptive corn is based on research on the rare condition, immune infertility, in which a woman makes antibodies that attack sperm.
"Essentially, the antibodies are attracted to surface receptors on the sperm," said Hein. "They latch on and make each sperm so heavy it cannot move forward. It just shakes about as if it was doing the lambada."
Normally, biologists use bacteria to grow human proteins. However, Epicyte decided to use corn because plants have cellular structures that are much more like those of humans, making them easier to manipulate.

While neonatal tetanus may be a problem with unsterile births, there definitely is (or was) an available immunization for pregnancy along with tetanus. See the published medical article at http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/picrender.fcgi?artid=335872&blobtype=pdf Whether this was or was not given to girls and women, I cannot say for sure, but the fact remains that such a shot is not pure fiction.

A very different article in tone and insinuation.
Don't get me wrong, I am greatly concerned with the ability to contain the pollen of BSE corn; however, in the first attached article, the article insinuated that the crop would be used for food in Third World countries to suppress population, while in the second, it clearly indicates that the intention of the crop-based drug is to produce something a jelly to be later manufactured into a contraceptive. Two very different things.

WOW, what a great blog. This so wrong on so many levels that one mind would just keep spinning thinking about it.
Yes, the world is heading towards over population, but if it was an open joint discuss and all the parties agree this method is good way to combat it, then fine. But, to conceal it and for Our country to promote it is simple wrong.
Your right, this is genocide -- immoral and unconscionable -- no matter what fears we may have of overpopulation and limited resources.

My question is just this. If the people in some of these other countries are starving.Where in the hell do they get the energy to have sex? And if you yourself are starving why would you want to bring a child into that.So maybe this sterilization plan is a good idea.
