I heard a man say.. "Yes she's beautiful...but she's not sexy."
Well as I am a woman and i dont have the thoughts of a man.. this totally confused me! 
Isnt a woman whos beautiful also sexy? I wondered.... 
How can she be one....without the other?..I guess I'll never understand men's minds!!

Beautiful describes her static physical attributes,
while sexy describes her motion - how she moves and entices another
with that movement; facial expressions, walk, attitude, etc...
A woman can be one, the other, neither or both.

Sexy is not all about looks, beauty is.
For example, if a beautiful woman is rude and lacking in the social graces, then she is not what I would consider sexy. On the other hand, I have met some rather plain looking women who were extremely sexy.

Beauty does not equate with being sexy.
Sexy is what a woman's heart and soul are comprised of.
It's how she speaks,comports herself,looks at me.
Her eyes and smile are sexy.
What's between her ears is sexy.
Physical beauty means absolutely nothing without inner beauty.
I can ramble on but I believe you get the point.

I know of a woman here in this town that is a beautiful as they come. But her figure is like Olive Oils, popeye's girlfriend,, her measurements are about 29,28,29 and even tho she is beautiful,, she is not sexy at all.

Most men think pictures are sexy if they have big boobs in them... they don't have to move LOL.
The evaluation differs from one man to another. Some think Angelina Jolie is sexy, others thinks she's beautiful. I can see both attributes, but I don't find her that attractive. People used to say Ingrid Bergman was beautiful, but Malene Dietrich was sexy... had something to do with her disdain for men.
Beautiful is usually used to describe a face... sexy is used for lips, but not ears or nose. Probably no sexual connotations.... a woman's behind can be described as sexy or maybe beautiful... but a man can't be beautiful.

I'd like to think I'm both...although I hate being called cute!!!!!!!!
I want to be called gorgeous, beautiful, sexy, bootyliscous, etc....
I have never figured out why some are pretty and some are sexy either. Usually whenever I hear a guy say someone is sexy, or have seen it written on a photo comment here, it is when there is alot revealed in the pic!!!!!!!!!

Yea, well I got both beauty and sexiness and know it very well and play it to high heavens daily, I LOVE it and so do the men............what can I say, it is all about confidence and self assurance and I dont mean with arrrogance thats unbecoming.
Although a lil sassiness never hurts, some like it........

Years ago women attended charm schoold to learn how to be graceful , and poised. The saying less is best is very true. A woman who piles on the makeup that covers her natural beauty , takes away from herself . While a woman who wears a little makeup can enhance her natural beauty. I recently made a friend angry when I said you look like Bozo the clown. She had dark red cheeks , and heavy lipstick . When everyone stared she thought she looked beautiful . They were laughing at her behind her back.
Also look at Tom boys . If you put Ellen D next to Susan Lucci who do you think the men would choose first.
Men look at beauty first usually, Someone who is soothing on the eyes . But it sure doesn,t hurt to learn how to be sultry and sexy while your at it.
When you go out start studying peoples behavior and learn from what you see . YOU,LL LEARN A LOT by watching others .

I have to say I do understand this comment. Personally I can look at a man who I know is handsome and other women find him attractive but he does nothing for me - therefore I would have to say "yes, he's handsome but not sexy". Beauty is purely aesthetic, sex appeal comes from the mind. People don't have to be beautiful to be sexy. A beautiful face doesn't necessarily equal sex appeal either. JMO.

Beauty is not only the way a lady looks, its in her soul, her mind, the way she acts and talks....
Sexuallity is in the way she attracts the oppisite sex, how she presents herself and how she holds herself aloft ...Someone may be sexy to you or the guy down the street and not sexy to others.....May be a chemistry involoved....
