You know sometimes we meet people and they're strangely familiar. If it's in the street or a shop, at a party or an evening class we can ask them about it. Generally if we say "I feel I know you from somewhere" they'll say they felt exactly the same. During the conversation you'll establish it's probably unlikely you have met before but somehow you just feel comfortable with them, like you've known them for years. There's no explanation for this feeling, except perhaps we have met before, in a former life.
It's been suggested to me we make a soul contract with our soul family before we incarnate on earth. Different souls offer to assist us with certain aspects of our life when we get here. Some of these souls we've never met but others have featured very closely in our previous existences. We can choose to believe this or pass it off as a load of nonsense and since there's no solid proof it's likely most of us would. How is it then that we continue to have these experiences throughout our lives right until the end?
We also experience similar feelings on line. It's not necessarily the same feeling of recognition we get with someone we meet in the flesh, but there's that warm feeling we get when we see a loved one's face when we look at their picture. Before too long we realise how much we have in common. Sometimes it's so uncanny, this person could almost be inside our heads.
I have a friend here, she's like me in so many ways - I think we even look a bit alike. She has the most beautiful smile, whenever I see her picture it cheers me up. I knew from the start, even before I knew much about her that she was a warm, wonderful woman. She has a childlike quality about her that makes me want to put my arms around her and tell her everything will be OK. She's tough though, nobody's fool, although she's perhaps a little too forgiving if there is such a thing. She's such a great girl I can't believe some lucky guy hasn't snapped her up yet. What are the men out there looking for if not a beautiful, funny, sexy lady with passion and compassion in equal amounts? It upsets me to know she's sad sometimes when people take advantage of her good nature. I know how she feels because it happens to me too often as well.
In fact, most things happen to me and my soul sister at the same time. We know we're to blame, it's our very natures that are attracting the wrong kind of people to us. Of course not everyone is the wrong kind, we also have great people around us. The problem appears to be with men - unsuitable men! Men who say one thing and mean another. Men who don't know a good thing when they see one.
The problem is how to rectify this. If my soul sister and I are to have similar experiences why can't they all be good ones? I don't know the answer to this, perhaps if we listen to one another, connect with the mirror image and advise accordingly we will help each other reach a conclusion. We both know we deserve better than we've been treated so it's not lack of self esteem or respect.
Perhaps it's just the nature of of an angel that draws the users and abusers to us. It's the only explanation I have for what both of us has been through in our lives. Maybe we're angels put here for a purpose and we'll get our reward in heaven. It would be nice to think our work here will be rewarded before too long. We're both little devils at times but not so much we hurt others, just ourselves. Perhaps it's time to let the devils in us go and embrace our angelic natures. Maybe then we'll receive the love and affection from decent men who deserve us. There's no reason why we should change the good stuff about us, but clearly something has got to change or the pattern will continue for both of us.
Someone once told me angels can fly because they take themselves lightly. Maybe that's the answer, to stop taking life so seriously.
We deserve to fly baby girl..... let's do it.
