When talking about God, you get a few people who become very passionate in their belief in God. You also get a few people who become very passionate in their non belief in God. Then you get most people who don't really think about it and don't care one way or the other. They believe in God but that is about as far as they take it. Believing in God is not fun, you have to try and avoid sinning, and sinning is so much fun right? Not to me it is not.
So why do I believe in God? First of all it is a feeling. Once you accept God in your life, your life takes a u-turn. Not on purpose, it just happens. All of a sudden all the things I use to do that were considered sins I didn't want to do anymore. I started to realize that a lot of things I use to do were selfish, not nice, dangerous, and not a good example. They just didn't interest me anymore. What does interest me is showing people love, helping people, and being an example.
Another reason I believe in God is that the world is too perfect to just happen. Someone had to create it. Look how the human body works. No matter what color of skin or race you are, we all need the same things to live. We all need air, food, water and sleep to live. We all have emotions(good or bad). Our body parts all operate the same way as all other humans. Only women get pregnant and it takes both sexes to make her pregnant. There is no way it just happened that way. Obviously someone planned this out. There are some animals that keep the land clean while other animals eat the cleaning animals to make sure there are not too many. Then there are some animals who eat what is already dead so we don't have animal parts all over the place forever. Then you have trees that keep all of this going, giving us and the animals air to live. Again, there is no way this just happened, someone planned it out. It is the circle of life right? I could go on and on but I am not writing a book here. Speaking of books, the bible is one of the oldest documents in history, something or someone(God) is making sure it stands the test of time.
Then you have people who don't believe in God. And those people will try to convince you that there is no God. Or they call Him 'our God' and 'not their god.' Some people blame God for the troubles in the world. They say 'how come God doesn't do anything about it?' The reason is God gave us free will. If God got involved everytime something goes wrong, then we as people would lose free will and become robots to God. This is not to say God does not help people, He does, just not in a secular type of way. People have to realize that all the troubles in the world are man made and it is going to take man to fix them. When you don't believe in God, it is safe to say that you will believe in almost anything else.
Now for my belief in God I get called all kinds of names. Not by many people but just a few. It does not bother me except that it makes me sad that they need to belittle what they don't understand or not like. In some ways, church is partially to blame for that. I am not saying church is a bad thing, but it does not help God when people who say they are believers in God put down others who are not believers in God. I don't think it is our job as a believer in God to judge people who are not. Some of us believers become holier than thou and judge others. It is our job to spread love and be an example. I do not like the act of homosexuality, but I love the homosexual. God tells us to love all people, not just non sinners. Church makes rules or does things that turn people away from believing in God. Again, I am not saying all churches do, but it is like a rotten apple, one spoils the whole bunch. If you live your life by God's word, you will be a great example to other people and not harm them.
Last but not least, what if as a believer I am right and when my body dies I go to heaven? A non believer will ask the same thing yet only in reverse. What happens if you die and you go nowhere? Fair question and my response would be this. If you as a non believer are right, then I have nothing to lose except to live my life as a believer(which is a good thing anyway) since we are all destined with the same fate when we die. But if I am right in my beliefs, that is a different story. For if I am right I will have everything to gain and you will have everything to lose. Is that a gamble you're willing to take? Not wise if you ask me.
The best thing about believing in God, the love you feel inside. No amount of money can buy that kind of happiness. Loving everyone is a good feeling, try it sometime. If you don't believe in God, may I suggest that you at least look into it, what is the worst that can happen?

The best Converts are the die hard agnostics and athiests. Ya know the ones who are so passionate in dislike and disbelieve they can be irritatingly rude and obnoxious? I have seen a few of those who read the Bible in an attempt to disprove creation and GOD and become the Biggest believers......... (Much Like Paul, or Rev. Doug Batchelor to name 2)

I agree that we have free will but your god did get involved in the lives of humans many times as recorded in the bible so I guess your god is selective as to who, when and where he should create a massive miracle.Lots of small occurances that god is given credit for but how can that be since we all have free will?

There is a web site for people to go to, it is www.lemmin.com(org or net) It is the molecule that holds the human body together. If after lookin' at some of these facts, if you don't believe in God. All I can do is pray for your soul, and the blinders that you have on to be removed. (I think that is the correct spelling of the word.) God bless you all, and thank you for this blog. Tanya

Here is a comment I received and my response to that comment followed by another comment from the same person.
Original comment:
I know yet he is credited everyday for miracles which include small disasters to help out his believers.
Everybody's beliefs are just that, their own,I find it offensive to see religious zealots posting their faith, spreading the Gospel.Religion is suposed tro be a program of attraction rather than promotion yet we are innundated with well meaning relkigious propaganda.
I don't promote athiesm and I certainly have that right but I choose to allow all to think what they wish.Happiness and contentment is personal issue.
My response:
If you find it offensive that people are posting their faith, why do you read those blogs? It would seem to me that you would be better off not reading them if they offend you so.
Another comment from the person who made the original comment:
My goodness, you are getting hostile. This is a publkic forum and i will not have you attempt to intimidate me in any way.Do you understand me.You may be able to push around some but I bite back and badly. Now take your faith and your non christian behaviors and stick it in the sand.I didn't ask you for your comments. This is not a public forum but my private domain.
As you can see, everyone can blog what ever subject they want unless it is a blog about our faith. What ever happened to freedom of speech? This is ok though, I get people all the time not liking what I write, so it makes me curious as to why they keep reading what I write even though they know they won't like it.
